McDonald's is unique, right? As fast food goes, it's my tried and true. I can always find a way to jam a hamburger down my... gullet. McDonald's is a guilty pleasure that I never feel guilty about. This location has had it's modern make over and ispretty clean and has a fine look. I don't find myself disgusted eating here. The staff does their part to keep the appearanceup and presentable. They want $12 for an adult happy meal with a super ugly four eyed toy. If u ask me it's a total waist of money you can feed two... people now a days at McDonald's with $12. That's sad cuz back in the day you used to be able to feed 3 to 4 people on that much.And could get what u ordered. And it's not just one McDonald's in one town, it's all McDonald's every where. I travel with myjob and every McDonald's is the same; over priced and they mess up the order every time, and at every one igo to I'm alwaysmissing drinks, or fry's, or a entree. Sometimes more than one is missing at a time. And they have the worst kids working at emtoo, ride or just simy ignorant. I ordered a happy meal for my little girl the other day with my little one with me and weordered inside, the little teenage girl didn't once mention to us that they had no toys, we didn't find out till we got our foodand no one compensated for it being missing either. I dont go often but every now a mc double sounds nice, unless you go to this location. Not once this past year have they... actually made it right. Id understand if i had some weird order but its not. I order it as a regular sandwich and i usuallyreceive it as plan or ketchup only or no cheese. I just don?t understand. Not the worst Macdonald I have ever been too but also not the worst. It?s ok, they don?t get the food wrong but the usually... disjointed. If you were to go McDonald?s in Ankeny I would chose the one on Oralabor and State Street it is definitely the bestone. Read more
Very poor experience. We dropped by on our way out of town headed home a long ways away. We arrived at 644 and waited more than... ten minutes for an iced vanilla latte which never arrived. They told us to pull ahead and after sitting for ten minutes we wentin to figure what was going on. The manager refused to talk with us when we specifically asked for her. She looked at us andspoke to her person but not us. She never came to the counter and continued filling other orders. We never got our drink becauseshe claimed the machine went into cleaning mode just after getting our order. She said (while in the back filling other orders)that they never knew it was in cleaning mode and that that couldn't come tell us about the machine. They refused to give ourmoney back or help us since it was a mobile order, only to wait 12 more minutes which we could not do. Terrible customer service. Place mobile order and went in there to wait for the employee to discuss if my order was the correct... order or not. They put my burgers in and out of the bag several times and pass it around from front to back. Having people openit just to see if the burger was made correctly. Read more

Can't really judge location as we went through the drive thru however the visit was satisfactory for the timeframe we went.
