The waitress was busy talking to friends. Then found a tip she had to take to get friends to discuss. Saw us, walked away.... Finally came back and took our order. We almost left we waited so long. Will see how the food and service is...... So far eventhe water tastes like bleach. Can't drink it. The food was really good however. Had to ask for ranch twice. Had a VERY nice lunch at Old Chicago in Ankeny on October 7th (my Birthday) last week. We arrived just after noon, and was... surprised that it was more crowded. But, we were lucky and were seated immediately, and our waitress was with us within aminute. Missy was really nice, took our order and was back with our soft drinks quickly. We ordered our go-to "Meat Me" withOC Thick Crust. The Meat Me pizza is a combination of Italian sausage, Canadian bacon, sausage, pepperoni, green olive andbasil. So, as far as the pizza goes, it was fantastic. As usual, I try to find something about a dish that sets it apart ofother dishes (in this case - pizza) that we can get at any number of places in town, and you know this if you follow me. Withthe Old Chicago Meat Me, it's easy ... you get a flavor explosion with every bite. Seriously. Here's the cool part. Missyfound out it was my birthday, and treated us to an ice cream sundae on the house. How cool is that? Hell yeah - extra tip forher!!! The restrooms? You knew it was coming. At this time on a Friday noon hour, I can report that there was a bit of debrison the floor in the men's room as well as some water splashed on the sink area. Not bad. This location has improved a lot since a year ago. The food has been very good the five times we've been here over the last two... months. We love the Detroit style pizza and I hope they bring the cheesesteak rolls in permanently. The beer selection isalways an adventure as they seem to be out of things frequently, but there is still always a good variety and they do keep hardseltzers on hand. Service has been hit and miss, but if they continue to hire more servers it will get more consistent. Read more

Brought my family in for a nice dinner. We got our appetizer and it was awesome. But then we waited an hour for our meals. Our... waitress was very nice and I did ask why we waited so long, which they were short handed and had new cooks. But my coleslawtasted very sour and our food had been sitting for a bit. $80 for two adults and two kids, just not really worth it in the endin my opinion. Read more

Last minute switch on a Saturday night. No wait. Food was very good. Service was excellent. I am very picky if my drink goes... empty, and it did not. Very happy with the night here. Update: Came to town next day And did lunch. The pizzas looked goodand wanted to try them. Read more

Food is OK, nothing special. Wait staff is unattentive, we had to find our own silverware and napkins. When the food was served,... we had to get our own condiments off other tables. If not for being honest we could have easily walked out with out paying.Walked up to the bar to get our bill. Never saw the wait staff after we got our food. Read more
