First time going and I thought the food was decent. Thr fries were good, but way too much salt (consider asking for no salt,... it's alot). I opted for the crispy chicken sandwich, which came with some sort of sauce, again maybe ask for a different of nosauce, it was basically salt aswell. The chicken was great, crispy wise so/so. I had the free Cajun chicken sandwich. So good. Way spicy, but delicious. The fries are also good. However the fried pickles... are out of this world!! 12/10. Super happy and will be coming back. Plus they have such good ranch!! Read more
We were very excited to try this new chicken place. It is very similar to Raising Cane's but better quality. The chicken... tenders were very juicy and larger than the ones at Raising Cane's. The restaurant was very clean and tidy. The only negativewas around the staff not talking to us. Several times we asked people questions when we were ordering and they just stood therestaring at us. Even the lady who brought our food to the table didn't say anything, very odd. If you haven't tried this placeI would encourage you to give it a try. p.s. I was asked if the food here is comparable to Chick-fil-A and the answer is no. Chick-fil-A is a lot better. Even the Mac n cheese is better at Chick-fil-A. Read more
First timer. Customer service was attentive, professional and friendly. Well made chicken tenders. Juicy, hot and tasty. Lighter... breading allows tasting of chicken. Slightly bland corrected by a bit of salt. Gravy is not a stand out. Fries were fresh andskin on for a nice change. Toast was actually toasted and not overly greasy. Overall executed well enough for me to be willingto go back to try the house made Ranch. I say get you some Slim Chickens!! Read more
I will start by saying this is a new restaurant in Ankeny and has only been open for a month on July 13th. I know there are... going to be areas that need work. First and foremost drive through, took me 40 minutes from the time I got in line. Was nicethey brought out my sweet tea, which was good once I got home to add more ice to make it cold. I ordered the Chick's meal..3tenders I asked to get Cole slaw instead of FF, she couldn't hear or didn't understand. For I got both, I really don't eat FF,I did try a few, they were Luke warm and over salted for me. Now, the chicken tenders were delicious, buttermilk lightbreading, cooked to order, which could be why the drive through took so long. Tho, I watched the curb side pick up..reallywasn't moving to fast either. I will go again, next time inside. Pretty bad service. Went inside & it was fairly busy. We got to the counter to order & the kid hardly spoke. I just started to... order since he didn't say anything to us. I asked for a side salad, substituted from fries. They charge for one side of ranch.Took about 40 minutes for two meals. They gave me fries, not a salad. & forgot my side of ranch. the salad salad was weeds morethan lettuce & pretty sad. I don't know the point of the table numbers if they don't use them. Once the other kid came to giveme my side salad before the rest of my meal, he asked me the order number even though it was on the table in front of him. Theworkers walk around not knowing what they have or the order number. Wish it was better service. Food was pretty good though. Igot the grilled chicken wrap. Flavorful & quality chicken. First time and I liked it! They were busy. Lots of people in the drive through. We tried sitting in the front porch area but... the fumes were too strong and moved inside. I enjoyed my wrap. Will get the fries next time. Read more
Had a great lunch here! The guy at the counter (Anthony?) was extremely kind and helpful when I told him I hadn't been here... before. I got the tenders meal and he suggested the garlic parmesan sauce, which was delicious! Chicken was super crispy onthe outside and still juicy on the inside and hot! Fries were super crispy top to bottom and seasoned well! I hope this fivestar review bumps up their rating, they deserve it and I will be back! Read more
