This place doesn?t even deserve 1 star because of how bad the experience was. Not once but 2 times the manager could not... apologize for my car being completely ignored to get my order taken when I sat there for 20+ minutes with my boyfriend and kidsand another car pulls up and is instantly taken care of minutes after. I called the location to tell the manager and got nothingfrom him. As we speak to him again at the window the Manager James again could not apologize. I had kids waiting to eat andsitting longer than we should of had to I would have at least expected more professionalism from a manager but no. ThankfullyDora who took our order was very calm and patient and very helpful when trying to order a kids meal that wasn?t advertised andhelping us make a cheaper food decision for my kid. If it wasn?t for her I wouldn?t even consider eating here ever again. A little bit of a wait for our food, but it was hot and made fresh! You definitely get your money's worth!!!!
We pulled into a bay to study the menu, which I can never see from the passenger seat and have to look it up on my phone. Once... we decided on our order, we pushed the button to be told that they only serve through drive through due to not enough staff. Ok.I understand that, however why isn't anything posted on the bay menus saying that? Now we had to get in the drive through line,which did move quickly. Our order was ok. Supposed to be open at 10 but don?t seem to be able to pull it off. I have tried to go a couple times in the past month a little... after 10 and they?re still closed down. Should post their hours correctly if they?re not going to open at 10. Food is prettygood when they are actually open Read more
The food was good, and service was decent. My only complaint is the our order was prepared incorrectly. It was taken and... documented on the receipt correctly, but not made that way. It wasn't a big deal, we ate and enjoyed our meals anyway. Read more
Sonic is such a fun place to hang out and eat. I was impressed with the mozzarella sticks, they weren?t like many other places... who?s mozzarella sticks are subpar or overcooked. The popcorn chicken was good so that?s why I?m giving this more than 1 star, but the burgers at the Ankeny location are... disappointing. I have always gotten burgers at the Merle Hay location and that?s why Sonic is my favorite, but today the burgeris so bad I don?t think I can eat it. The lettuce is gross there are no tomatoes and no onions. I ordered the more expensiveburger because I wanted everything on it, but now after picking off the lettuce all I?m left with is 2 patty?s and cheese on abun with what?s left of the sauce. Just spent an hour waiting for service. People showed up after us and got helped before us. We then figured our ordering machine... was broke so went to a different one it was not working too. We went to 3 different ones they all did not work. Others had thesame problem. We sat in drive thru for a long time too. It was not moving either.
