This was a great surprise! The remodel from the previous place is spot on. The outside patio had overhead heating that took the... chill out of the air. My breakfast casserole was genius. Nice place. Trailside burger was amazing! Juicy and flavorful, small ceaser salad was very good and the potato salad was also... great. Had the meatloaf and it was incredible! Waitress recommended it and she did not steer me wrong! Highly recommend to anyone!! The... mashed potatoes were also amazing and the ketchup glaze was a great addition blended in with the meatloaf and mashed potatoes.If you want great food, cold delicious drinks, and outstanding service, this is your place! I came in at 3:20 to try their chicken sandwich & green bean cass. I was informed that they don't serve food between 3 & 4. I... said I'll kill time, ordered a drink. I was then informed 5 minutes later that they've dropped in some chicken for me! Bothitems were absolutely DELICIOUS!! I can't remember having a better chicken sandwich! This was our first time here & my wife & I split an assortment of foods. Everything was alright but we felt it's one of those... restaurants that's trying to hard. Our cheese curds had excellent flavor but they served them with a ranch & red sauce mixpoured over the curds. This caused the breading to be mushy when served to us which would not have been a problem if they hadserved the sauces on the side instead of worrying about a pretty presentation. The hush puppies were excellent & no complaintsthere, my wife got a Caesar salad & the garlic was pretty overpowering, my Trailside Burger was pretty good but the sweet onionmayo was also a little strong, the fries were very good, & the strawberry shortcake had mixed results. The strawberries & creamon it were excellent but the shortcake was very dry & dense. It reminded me more of a biscuit than a shortcake. The service wasexcellent & the atmosphere was fun. This place has excellent potential, I just wish they would focus a bit more on qualityinstead of presentation. Read more
