My friends the negative reviews are straight up false. As a customer of years I'll tell you why. I have been eating here... regularly for years, probably more often than I eat at home (am I ashamed? maybe? ..nah). There are multiple Ahmo's locationsand the Stone School Rd one is easily the best one. (now I won't argue that some of these reviews are for other locations bymistake. If it's any testament to the location - I have eaten at all of them and only come back to Stone School Rd.) I have notONCE had my order messed up (except when it was my own fault inputting it online). In fact, on the rare occasion that I evenmessed up ordering I have been met with kindness. Well this was one of my favorite places until tonight. I come here every week with the gentleman that I take care of. I... commented this evening on how hot the soup was I it was scolding hot and I just spit it out I thought they should turn thetemperature down but instead I just got rude remarks from the cook mocking me saying it?s soup and just being very rude I won?tbe coming back here to spend money. My first experience with Ahmo's was at this location -- if all of them are like this, I think I've found another new Ann Arbor... staple! The staff is super friendly, and at this location my friends and I found that there was ample seating for our group aswell. The menu contains all the standard favorites you'd expect from a Gyro spot, and the prices are reasonable (especially forAnn Arbor). The food itself is solid, and tastes authentic & natural -- big pros when getting a quick bite at a casual spot.Outside of the taste itself, the quantity is massive; on my my most recent visit I got an Ahmo's bowl, and it was way too muchfood for me to finish in one sitting. Before we arrived here, we called in advance to inquire if the food was halal, upon which the cashier/waitress confirmed. So we... went ahead and ordered a lamb gyro and a chicken and lamb gyro. Our food was delicious, and we really loved it, but while wewere casually browsing through the menu, I realized they did not have halal written anywhere on the paper. So my husband wentback to confirm if the food was halal, to which the cook said only their chicken is halal. I feel that the staff shouldcommunicate this specification when they answer their calls. For people with religious food preferences it would make thingseasier. They did a great job at maintaining social distancing requirements, and cleanliness! Read more
Although I would consider Ahmo's to be fast food, the quality of the food far exceeds the fast food standard. I highly recommend... the Ahmo's gyro, and the fries to go with it are top notch as well! Read more
