This place seat in an odd corner of the restaurant univers half way in between the good ol' American house meal "like Gran pa or... Gran ma's kitchen" and yet the place is modern with a hipster vibe almost like a high end restaurant. As a result the food ismade of well executed classic with time to time a nice spin (the green beans with pepper seasoning or the jalapeno cornbread)!In most case the dishes will be awesome and extremely good! However some of the dishes are plain ok and won't be the mostexciting you get... But everything really taste good. The service is extremely detailed, efficient and kind. That moderntouched mixed with family meal. The atmosphere is exactly seating in that odd space making it a very family friendly place butalso the perfect spot to hang with the "bros". Beer is great. The price is fair and portion in accordance to other downtownAnn Arbor location. Service is efficient and there is many table making rare to find a seat. Five stars no complain. Read more

Edit: 09-21-22 Service was not as good this time. I asked for another pint of my mango wheat beer but nope I never came. I asked... for regular fries for my Philly but nope I got the chip style potato instead. The waiter/tres did give me the regular friesafter I asked. So yeah, I guess it's not too bad but I'm taking my rating down to 4 stars. ------------------------ Awesomebarbecue house and brewery. Went there for the first time unplanned after checking out U of M. Never heard of this restaurantbefore but my daughter thought the menu on Google looked good. She was right. I like their beer too. Had a lovely dinner with colleagues from Michigan Engineering. I had the Apertivo and pulled pork sandwich with the BBQ chips. A... little drier than desired, you definitely want some moisture in the pork so you're not overloading on the vinegar & bbq sauce.Shared appetizers of Pretzel and cheese dip, and combo baskets of fried pickles and onions with dip. Ended up in Ann Arbor for a work thing. We asked around for a good spot for dinner and this place was recommended. It did not... disappoint. Service was fast, waiter was super helpful and friendly, food was really good. They are a brew house as well, butwe had a long drive after dinner so we didn't get to try any local craft beer :( the smoked Pulled Pork, turkey and sausagewas super good and very flavorful. HOLY BBQ!!! I wanted to try some restaurants since I rarely get to. So I went here. I got the 3 meats and 2 sides platter. On my... platter, I got pulled pork, smoked turkey and smoked chicken. My sides were the mac and cheese and smoky cheese grits. Theservice was fast and the food was faster. Before the food came out, an individual brought over 3 sauces and explained each one.Which I found great since I am new to the restaurant. I had all 3 sauces. Must say it definitely made my night. The onlydrawback to this was the grits. It wasn't the taste, I was hoping it comes in a small bowl. Since the plate is underneath withpaper. If I scaped my plate, I'm afraid I eat paper.
