I have eaten at Hot Pot Chen for years and find their food tasty. I often order take out and I am pleased that they have the... food prepared in a timely manner. The restaurant is being re-modeled and looks great. I recommend the food to anyone looking forauthentic Chinese fare. Read more
We tried the hot fish and it was prepared very well. We had the non spicy and it was sour and sweat.
Let's start with, one server was working. We were a group and other people came in to eat as well. Not sure if food stayed in... the kitchen too long, or if it was because of lack of servers. Food tasted okay but would have been better if it was warmer.Check out was an issue as we all had our own bill. May return, but if I walk in and only one server, I will probably headnextdoor. This was my first time here since the remodel. They did a very nice job with the decor. It looks a lot more polished and tidy.... I had the Thai curry casserole earthen pot and found it to be quite tasty. The spice level was just right for me. It may betoo hot for some, too mild for others. The portion was quite generous for the price. I had dinner and a lunch out of it. Mycompanion had the veggie steamed dumplings and mentioned that they were quite delicious. The only reason I didn't give thisestablishment five stars is because my companion had ordered the wonton soup and it never came out. They were gracious enoughto provide it for carry out, but it should have never been overlooked to start with. Overall, I highly enjoyed my visit andplan to go back. Read more
Pork dumplings were very good, chicken and broccoli as well- actually a good amount of vegetables with this dish- green pepper... some cabbage, broccoli and shoots. Eggplant was well prepared-if a little sweet. Very well spiced (medium) and the vegetablesactually tasted like vegetables, some restaurants they don't. This will likely be out go to spot for Chinese. All the food was great, except the House fried rice needs a little more flavor and moisture.
Could not have been more delicious!!! Scallion pancake, triple special earthen pot and Mongolian beef were all amazing and... flavorful. The best part, for two people these were big enough to create a second meal. Please don't notice how I ungracefullyate more than half the scallion pancake before rembering to take pictures. Read more
Forgot to take photos but food was really good! We got the scallion pancakes, beef noodles, shrimp dumplings, and garlic short... ribs. The food was well seasoned and the servers were very nice. The decor is also nice. If you don’t like spice just makesure to ask about spice level! Read more
