I brought my family to eat at Los Amigos a few weeks ago while we were staying at a hotel nearby. We enjoyed the atmosphere and... our server was wonderful who had some great suggestions to suit everyone's taste, including my boys aged 10 and 12. While Ienjoyed my tacos thoroughly, the highlight of the meal for me was the ginger margarita I ordered for myself, which is hands downthe best I have ever tasted. We have since returned to Canada and I have tried to recreate the drink several times with mixedresults. Would the owner of this fine establishment be so kind as to share the recipe with me, with a promise that we willreturn to Los Amigos for more margaritas and tacos the next time we are in town? When I tell you these Quesobirria tacos are THE best tacos I've ever had...I'm not exaggerating. Literally cant stop thinking... about them. Staff are great too...thanks for the fantastic meal! Read more
I don?t know where to start; the ketchup salsa, watered down $10 margaritas with 60% ice, to the cold cheese dip or the swinging... door to the kitchen that just keeps pounding and pounding! The salsa tastes as if they lost the recipe and added ketchup to theingredients, the cheese dip came out in clumps looking like drywall mud, and the margaritas were $10 for 3 drinks from thestraw. Between those three sips, they added maybe a half shot of tequila! I don?t complain much, but I can definitely tell whyon a Saturday at 1pm they have 15 people in the restaurant that seats 300 with a very nice outdoor patio! Our server was superfriendly, but not very observant. We asked for no salt on our margaritas, we got salt. We had to send the cheese dip back to bereheated, and we got zero waters for the table. But the biggest thing of all?.having 5-7 people going in and out of the kitchenwith a swinging door that pounds the walls everytime it opens. I?m sure they?re use to it, so they don?t even notice, but mysuggestion, don?t sit anywhere near the kitchen! Great restaurant with beautiful ambience. We were here in December 2021 for business. I had tilapia fish fry with salad. It was... delicious with hot sauce on the side. I definitely recommend anyone yo visit this restaurant if you are visiting Ann arbor. Theyhave a great drinks menu as well. Read more
I don?t exactly know what to expect of Mexican food in A2 but I found this place overall to be a good spot. I was in town... visiting for work & found the decor & atmosphere charming. It?s a decent mixture of what you?d expect from a Mexican restaurantbut with fun Michigan flair sprinkled throughout. The food was tasty; not the best I?ve had but like I said, it?s A2 and you?renot going to find superb Mexican food this far north. But it held its own & I enjoyed it. Went here for the first time and liked it so much I brought my friend who was visiting from out of town to come with me a few... days later. The food is absolutely wonderful, from presentation to taste everything was perfect. The cucumber jalapeno margaritais also delicious, and a medium is a great deal for the price. One of the best more authentic Mexican experiences I've had inawhile, and I will be going back. Read more
