Hands down my favorite Deli in Ann Arbor. If you want a sandwich that is mostly bread, go to Zimmerman's. If you want a... sandwich that is mostly sandwich interior, eat here. I have been eating at this Deli since I went to Mich in the late 90s, andI stop by for a #2 after every game when I have time. I will say that the roast beef on my last sandwich was a little belowstandards (not as rare as I'd like and a little grey), but that would be the only complaint I've had in 20 years of frequentingthis deli. It is also a lot more crowded than it used to be (which I'm glad to see, for their sakes), but you may want to orderin advance online or with an app. Finally, as long as you do not have any objections to roast beef or deliciousness, get the#2... 10/10, amazing Deli sandwiches at a fantastic price. all the years I've lived in A2, this is my go-to when I need a Reuben. I've... been to Zingermann's many times, and the Roadhouse, and it doesn't even compare; all hype, no bite. If I can't get to StageDeli in WB, or Russ & Daughter's or Katz's Deli in NYC, this is where I go. A gem of a sandwich shop right in the middle of downtown. Parking was right next to the entrance. The food was absolute... ????????. They have a massive sandwich menu. Pictured is the "unique creation". Will return every time we're in town! Read more

Love me some maize and blue deli. Always have great sandwiches and friendly staff.

A deli known for it's large and plentiful sandwiches, seems to not stand up to expectations. When first arriving at this... destination I was taken aback by the environment - it doesn't invite me in or make me want to stay. The carpet is stained, old,and quite mushy. The walls are thin wood paneling that vibed 60s or 70s - looking tired and in need of a replacement. I wasexpecting more "team spirit," but got more of a "had" team spirit. The sandwiches were nice quality. My sandwich had a nicecrunch from the veg and my meat tasted fresh. The bread was average, but the price of a sandwich were a bit above that. I foundthat the deli had a lot more lacking than not. The shop needs a major remodel and for it to be called a deli is kind of astretch; not a wide variety of meats, cheeses, or any other deli-like item caught my attention from the one, sparse, cooler withbar none in it.
