Good authentic Indian restaurant. I enjoyed my dinner here. The place is in the heart of Ann Arbor, the taste is awesome and... price is decent. They do not have dedicated parking for customers but you can find street parking spots nearby easily. The placehas decent ambiance, I would recommend this if you are in Ann Arbor and want to try desi food. Read more

Did not take my severe nut allergy seriously at first, and assumed "a few cashews" would okay in the curry. Then, they offered... me two options on the menu that could be nut-free. When asked about other options, we were told they were too busy toaccommodate the allergy. After telling them we would have to go somewhere else where I had more options, they insisted that weshould stay, and they would make the dishes we wanted without nuts. I really appreciated that, but then two dishes we neverordered came out, and one never arrived. They took the extra dish off of the bill, and we paid. We requested an itemized receipt but our waiter did not know how to print one, and kept giving us a receipt with just the total on it. He figured out how toprint an itemized receipt, and we realized they had already added 18% gratuity without notifying our party. So basically, wetipped 18% TWICE, and were unable to get any kind of refund or compensation even after asking and explaining that we werefirst-time diners here. Some of the food was good but the vegetarian options were extremely plain and not made correctly. Wewill not be returning. Read more

I tried this place for the first time today and the garlic naan and butter chicken was SO GOOD. I think Indian food will be my... new obsession these next few months. They give you free rice with the butter chicken, too. If you enjoy spicy food make sure toemphasize that, I asked for medium spice and it wasn’t spicy at all. But still really good!! My mom loved it as well and sheis a super critical about food, so I feel that says a lot about absolutely amazing the dishes are here. Read more

We love Indian food and have been to many Indian restaurants. This is one of the best at a very affordable price that we've... visited. We had Gobi 65 (a vegetarian appetizer of fried cauliflower), lamb saag and chicken chettinadu for entrees. Each wasexcellent. I asked the chicken to be medium spicy and it tastes just right. The breast meat was expertly cooked, tender andjuicy. Chicken breast, if overcooked, can be tough and dry. It shows the chef's calibre. Read more

Namaste Flavours is our go-to restaurant for Indian food in Ann Arbor. The dishes are truly flavorsome and exciting! This time,... I particularly enjoyed the bhindi masala, which elevates a simple dish of okra to something much more special, with rich spicesand herbs. As always, the channa batura was delicious and filling, fluffy yet full of texture, deep-fried yet non-greasy.Similarly, the naan-bread was light, soft, and not oily at all. My wife ordered shrimp vindaloo, which had a strong kick to it.We are also particularly fond of the vegetarian samosas - they are the best we have tried so far. Our waiter, Kishore, wasextremely friendly, helpful and efficient. We were left completely satisfied by our experience and are looking forward to comingback soon. Update: We came back again the following day. We really liked the Mirchi Bajji, which was crisp, light and not toospicy. My wife thoroughly enjoyed the fish curry, which was tender and delicious. Most of all, the Sambar is an all timefavorite of ours; it is tangy, sweet and spicy. Further update: We came back again, three days in a row - the food must begreat :-). The Gobi 65 was crispy, freshly cooked and addictive, while the Fish Tikka was extremely scrumptious and tangy on asizzling hot plate, accompanied by plenty of vegetables. I particularly liked the Ginger Paneer and how the creaminess of thepaneer complemented the spiciness of the ginger. The Carrot Halwa was immensely delicious and rich in flavor. The food was soexquisite and superb, my wife ordered a fish curry to take out and indulge at home! Yet another update: The Apollo Fish isAMAZING and ADDICTIVE! It was not on the printed menu, but you can ask for it especially. The fish is lightly battered andsautéed with chilies and turmeric. It is tangy and spicy, with a lot of flavor. We definitely recommend it! We also ordered theSpring Dosa, which were crispy, fresh and very filling. The Aloo Bonda has a crunchy and light layer on the outside, Read more
