This was my first time going to a shake shack in the Midwest and it was every bit as delicious as they are on the east coast. We... went around 8:30pm(close to closing)on our way home from the airport. Best 10 minute detour. The burger was amazing- the perfectburger. the chicken sandwich was out of this world incredible- tender and juicy with a perfect crisp and flavorful breadingcombined with the herb Mayo and pickles ???????? and to complete the meal the fries were hot, crispy with soft potato-y centers.I would go back today if it weren?t about a 100 mile drive. It took me years to finally try Shake Shack after hearing so many great things about it. For a fast food -esque restaurant the... recommendations check out. Got a double shack burger and it was so pleasant to bite into. Although, their crinkle-cut fries cameshort of tasty and in my opinion too salty. You could probably get a bag of frozen fries from the grocery store and make itbetter. Nonetheless fries are always a nice treat. I capped off the meal with their churro shake. At first, my mouth was numbfrom how much cinnamon they put in it. Then as I got toward the bottom it became a lot more enjoyable with the chunks of churrodough mixed in. Shake shack double cheeseburger is so good !! I think they have the best beef out of any fast food burger chain. I always get... the double cheeseburger and slice onion. Nothing else on it cause i just want to taste the beef. It is so juicy, beefy andtender it melts in your mouth. Read more
I love shake shack. So this visit disappointed me. I got the regular single shack, and the patty was way drier than usual. The... fries were disappointing as well. I don?t know why, but the oil must be old or something, it smelled completely different fromusual shake shack fries and not tasty at all. There?s unpleasant bitterness to it and that never happened in the past. I onlycould eat 3-4 fries. It was that bad. And I am genuinely sad that I have to think about if I wanna visit this location again. (and I mean the other is in Detroit so way too long trip for a burger) Read more

Today I visited Shake shack on its grand opening. The new Ann Arbor store is 3rd one in Michigan. They have everything offered... at the other locations ? classic burgers, hot dogs, crinkle cut fries, shakes and fresh-made frozen custard. The space is lovelywith high ceilings with exposed metal beams. Lots of glass windows let in light. And all of the furniture is veryenvironmentally friendly... I understand the tables are from reclaimed bowling alley lanes (I captured that in my pics) Theburgers are juicy and seasoned well. We ordered a couple of the double smoke shacks and a couple orders of crinkle-cut fries.Adding in a shake and a large soda got us to 35 bucks with tax. So yeah it?s a bit pricey. The quality is great though. I onlywish the crinkle cut fries were hotter in temperature. I think they were making huge batches of fries and keeping them warm tohandle this evening?s huge crowds, so I will definitely be back to give them another try. My first visit to one of these ever. Cashier seemed overworked and frustrated. Food came without any toppings, which was weird.... I guess I needed to specify what I wanted during ordering? No clue. Really baffled by my experience here. I could tell the foodwas good quality, the dog was cooked well, if not bland due to no toppings. Chicken bites were good, hence the second star onthe review. Shake was completely frozen, which would have been nice if it was a to go order, but couldn't be drunk immediatelyafter receiving it. I'm not sure I'd ever return. Might order online some day to avoid the mix up at counter at least. One ofthe weirdest fast food experiences of my life. Read more
