The good was decent, not bad, but not the best. The location was somewhat clean, but smelt like a wet, old mop and the floor... felt nasty. We got the half & half strips, they gave a good amount, but they were definitely holding back on the sauce. Thekimchi and radishes were good dude dishes, and the rice was okay. The service was lacking, they kind of rushed it and they onlyfilled up the water a couple of times. It also took forever to get our food. Couldn't even dine in with the smell like an overflowing bathroom going on. We ended up not even bothering to order. The staff... was kind enough to explain there's an issue with the shared trash that's permeating the building. It's not a place I wouldconsider good to dine in at the moment. If anything, they should limit contact to curbside pickup and not let anyone insideuntil it's resolved if they can't afford to close until it's fixed. They changed the recipe! The one thing that made BonChon so notable and so good (and worth the price) was the fact that the... chicken was so good and unique! Now it?s actually kind of bad. Too much heavy breading, tastes different, and just not the same.We used to order from here on special occasions. Even my picky kids liked the soy garlic strips. Now they won?t eat it, and Idon?t blame them. We ordered from here a few months ago and just thought maybe they sent us the wrong thing. After the secondtime I asked around to see if I could find out what the deal is, and confirmed they changed the recipe. So we won?t be orderingBonChon anymore :( Read more
Update. Thank you for listening, BC Annandale. Full slaw this time - understood it?s just slaw; but getting what you pay for is... always appreciated. New photo. +2 stars. Old review below: Great chicken, but the skimping on sides, even when we are orderingthem separately and paying extra for them, has finally gotten old. Pictured here is $2.95 in coleslaw. It?s a no go. No bugs or hairs like other reviewers, but we won?t be back. Got sliders which would?ve been great if it actually... had chicken, no joke, the pickle was thicker. Also the Korean fried wings aren?t right. Sauce is fine but they aren?t breadedright like good Korean fried chicken. Read more
Our usual location on Pickett in Fairfax is temporarily closed so gave this location a try and am beyond disappointed. Just got... back with our pick up. We got the spicy family meal and the chicken was burnt all the way through. There was barely any sauceeither. I knew the second I opened up the box as the color was off! It?s not like we even got take out at peak hours! I eventipped 20%?for pick up!!! Never coming to this location again. We?re easy to please and are completely sympathetic with theindustry considering the current environment but this is unacceptable. This location should?ve closed down, not the one onPickett. I like Bon Chon food, but this is not the best Bon Chon location to eat at. It smells stinky sometimes, doesn?t look clean... inside, and is overall very sketchy. So if you are looking to eat Bon Chon, don?t go to this location. Read more
