My friend and I came here on a Sunday night around 8. We didn't have a reservation, but there were several open tables (more... than 5). The host said they were not accepting anyone who didn't have a reservation. We walked outside (where there were moreopen tables) and I called to make a reservation. The same host answered the phone and said they were full. I went online andmade a reservation through their website/open table. 5 minutes later, we walked inside and were seated. I understand that theyprobably wanted to ensure they'd close on time (they close at 9:30), but it still was odd and rubbed me the wrong way. The foodwas incredible, as it usually is. The chicken in my penne Alla vodka was a touch overcooked, but still good nonetheless. Theirhibiscus mules are super tasty. The experience with the host won't deter me from returning, and I look forward to going thereagain. Read more

I came for dinner during what turned out to be dining under the stars. Despite not having a reservation they were so... accommodating! The food was amazing and the service even better. My waitress Mary made sure I felt welcomed and satisfied withmy experience. I urge anyone in the area to try Luna Blu whenever they are in the mood for good Italian food! Read more

Overall a very nice dining experience. The restaurant was small but very comfortable and relaxing. There is indoor and outdoor... seating for groups of four to six, and tables can be moved around if space is available. Our hostess and server was friendlyand professional. The dinner menu has a great variety of Italian cuisine that includes appetizers and desserts. There is anextensive wine menu as well as other cocktails and alcoholic beverages. The fresh bread was the best. Hot, fresh and delicious. For my meal I had a Sangria, the Penne alla Vodka, with a chocolate mousse for dessert. A pleasant evening and enjoyable meal. Read more

? ? ? Synopsis: In my opinion, the entire army is out of step. I cannot understand 424 reviews clocking in at 4.5 stars having... experienced a flavorless lunch here. The restaurant curb appeal and interior architecture is charming, service was friendly andprofessional, Negroni was perfection, wine list very good but the food was blah. Detail: On Friday, August 12, 2022 in nearbyPasadena for a 10:00 AM meeting that went better for me than I expected on a gorgeous day - blue sky, puffy white clouds andlong coming break from the extended heat wave we have experienced, I decided to drive the short distance to Annapolis for lunchbefore returning home to Vienna a bit more than an hour drive. It’s been more than four years since my last visitingAnnapolis. I have a friend living there that I relied on for restaurant choices in the past who did not pick up my call for aspontaneous lunch invitation. On my own to choose a spot for lunch, driving on West Street, I parked in the lot next to Stanand Joe’s Saloon finding a bench a couple doors away to casually peruse Google Reviews of the many restaurant optionssurrounding me just steps away and all oozing attractive curb appeal. Luna Blu directly across the street from where I satlooked particularly appealing and showed 4.5 stars Google rating having 424 reviews. Inside LB the restaurant dripped with charmas small spots like this often have the tendency. The compact, narrow dining room looked to my eye to seat approximately 45guests and there was no bar. When dining solo I prefer dining at a bar which is usually available. One of two servers,Chrissie, friendly and professional, seated me immediately. At 1:45 PM the bulk of the lunch crowd were paying their checks andleaving. Chrissie took my drink order accommodating my Negroni recipe (1 shot gin, 1/2 shot Compari and 1/4 shot sweet vermouthstirred on rocks and strained up in a rocks glass). It was perfect. Then I asked for ciabatta or a rustic bread and knew I w Read more

My favorite restaurant while visiting Annapolis for the first time (from out of state). Went for lunch on a Tuesday, absolutely... a great experience. Location: near the downtown area, on west street. Amongst other restaurants and businesses. Limited streetparking (we parked at a garage and used the free pink shuttle to get to the area). Atmosphere: small dining area but classy. Idressed casual in black jeans and a simple blue button down shirt (nothing fancy) with sandals. Saw alot of people from winetours come and go after sampling. Natural lighting from the window. All tables, no booths. Staff: very nice waitress. Attentiveand was able to recommend places to see- even brought us a map of the area. Food: green tomatoes, bread, scallops, polenta, soups, calamari, picatta, alfredo, spaghetti, tortellini, and build your own pasta dish. Ordered the farfalle di creamona- akaseafood alfredo (shrimp, scallops, crab with bowtie pasta and alfredo sauce) and it was absolutely delicious. A light alfredosauce with large seafood (no tiny pieces of scallops and no small shrimp!). It was a generous portion and worth the money($15). Prices: felt fair for the portions and proteins involved. I think the lunch entrees ranged about $9-16 depending on theitem. I definitely recommend giving this place a shot if you are in the area!
