It is clear that Hoss's has taken a hit due to the pandemic... there used to be three that were a good 30 minute drive away and... it turned out the next closest one closed down... So, we drove out to the other location and found it had been shut down. Sosad! This Hoss's was a bit farther away as a result and when we got there we learned a few of our favorite menu options weregone. The salad bar was decent. The soups were adequate. But the food wasnt great... maybe because we had driven so far and Itried a burger becsuse they no longer offer the italian marinated chicken that I loved so much I would buy one to take home.Also the desert area had only a few of our favirite things and for whatever reason the ice cream machine did not have avanila/chocolate swirl option this time... just vanilla... maybe that was a situational problem... not sure. Still glad there isone in driving distance but it is not the same experience as 5 to 10 years ago when it was a beloved special treat as part ofour birthday routine. Read more
There was a time not too many years ago that I gave up on Hoss?s and it?s been years since I ate at one. Then tonight, we... decided to take a chance and try again. Pleasant surprise! Service was good, salad bar had good produce and good soups. Thedesert section was really good too. Read more

Hoss's is a staple for my friends and family gatherings. Great food, the unlimited salad bar with soup, ice cream and deserts... is always great. The menu rotates enough to have either the Hoss's staples or for trying something different. Recomend the Macn Cheese Briscuit Bowl it was delicious. Read more
This has to be one of the very few places you can go to on a Friday night and not wait for a table. It is very affordable, the... salad bar always has a great selection, and the food is outstanding. I tried something new, the bbq brisket tacos. They werepretty good(a bit on the "saucey" side. All of our meals were delicious. The service was great as usual as well. I have been to many Hoss resturants in Pennsylvania in my travels and this one is consistently good. Our server, "Cam" was... excellent. A fine young man, very courteous, helpful, and efficient, a model for what a great server should be. The restaurantwas clean, the salad bar was well stocked. They offer gloves to wear so you don't have to touch the serving utensils. Theyseated us fast. The manager here was a nice guy. We made sure to tell the manager of our great experience and the great workthat our server, Cam did. I recommend Hoss as a whole for a good filling meal at a fair price. This place has really gone to the crapper... salad bar used to be amazing but now they don't offer a bunch of options they used... to, and soup is no better than canned. 11.99 for lunch salad buffet is a bit much for whats offered. We also got a brisket macand cheese from the menu and the meat looked like dry dog food.... :( Read more
