LOVE this place, we often stop in the summer on our way back to Jersey or down to PA from upstate or the Finger Lakes - HUGE... HUGE HUGE portions. Vegan and dairy free options - as well as Dole Whip and other great flavors. There's always a huge line.It's worth a drive detour off the highway - and you can see it from the road. We LOVE this barbecue. The pulled chicken is hands down the best, but the pulled pork is good too. I like their chicken. Not dry... and well seasoned. The only complaint I have is you can't always get the pulled chicken. Their salt potatoes are a good size andtasty. Not a huge fan of their macaroni salad, but I do enjoy the potato rolls. Nice staff and yummy food! A win! Read more

YUMMY????????pit Bbq stand with shaded or sunny clean tables. I had moist yummy chicken dinner with fresh fruit salad and house... made creamy mayo cole slaw. The sauce for the chicken was very different than any I have had and very perfect on the chicken.Delish ????. Hubby had ribs, sauce had a bite. Ribs had really good flavor . LOTS of sides choices. Line goes quick. Easy detouroff then on rte 17. Read more

Love this place, back in my hometown for a visit to see my kids. Could not believe how they have changed, and expanded the menu.... My husband had ribs and chicken, I and my son had chicken. They never had ribs when I was there before, and they now have pulledpork and speedies. I wanted to try everything, I had some of my hubby's ribs, and the guy cooking must have heard me say Iwanted to try the speedies, because he brought over a sampling of them. Lip shaking delicious. I was going to post a picturesof our meals but we all enjoyed the chicken and ribs, there was nothing left. We went to the "Big Dipper" next door and theyhad so many flavors of ice cream. I had a simple strawberry milkshake, was very good. Wish I had these two places where I am,they would clean up with business. Read more
It was a lovely 77° this evening... the perfect weather to bat my eyelashes at my hubby, and before I knew it,we were off to... the Big Dipper. Despite having 30+ Flavors, I am a die hard , soft vanilla, plastered in rainbow sprinkles, on a GF cone, kindof girl. They have a couple of lovely Gazebos with ample seating and noticed a quaint play area for the children to enjoy.Overall I give the Big Dipper a 5 star rating. Read more
