Technology charges ahead. Now Steak & Shake has withdrawn customer service in favor of ordering kiosks. How impersonal is that -... plus they suggest tipping amounts of 10, 15 or 20%. For WHAT? Ordering your own food thru a computer, picking up your own foodand clearing off your own table. HA! Is this for real...? In their defense, the food is still very good (try the double garlicburger). Oh, and they can't use the old "we're short on staff" routine, as I counted about 8 employees behind the counter. 8people and zero customer service. You go figure. Read more

Pretty impressive how the turned around this place. Prior it too for ever and ever getting food. Now you order of kiosk and... goto drink station. Sit your self and wait on your order number. Food was quickly made. Condiment you must ask for. Notsomething I preferred as it interrupted order station. I suggest they possibly place condiments next to drink station. Foodthis is what you really wanted to know. Delicious especially those shakes made to order. Yummy. Read more

Wrong and slow. Waited in the drive through 5 minutes with no one greeting me to place my order so i parked and went inside. If... i could give no star i would. The grill guy does not use gloves. His name was ?D?.. something. He smoked a cigarette on duty,touched both filthy doors, didn?t wash his hands. Came straight to put on fresh gloves without attempting to was his hands.Grabbed his own personal drink, took a sip, then placed it by the frozen meat Pattie?s. Health Inspector needs to come checkthem out. Floor was filthy also. Too bad i won?t be returning to that location. I will stick to the Altamonte Springs Steak NShake. Read more

This place is DISGUSTING! Shakes where wrong and kid tried arguing even after I showed him my receipt. All the food was cold.... One of the kids burgers still frozen. Went to tell someone and no one wanted to even speak to me. They did remake it finally andthis burger a nat crawled out of this basket with the burger. I want corporate to call me and since they couldn?t be bothered tolet me speak someone needs to call and work out a refund. There is so much more wrong with the entire experience and I?m beyondmad. Trash left on the ground. All the tables left dirty and I had to clean one so my nephews and I could eat. Read more

When we ordered from the kiosk, I made sure to order my meal with no onions since I'm allergic, but couldn't find another area... to make note within system that I am allergic. Of course there were onions on my burger, even though the restaurant wasn't busy.My husband took up my meal to get it replaced, and the person who spoke to him at the counter wanted to simply take the onionsoff. That would've been no good for anyone since my throat closes with just the juice from the sliced onions. Only after myhusband made them pressed the actual allergy did the person take the meal to the back and remake it. They didn't take thereceipt with the rest of the special order to my burger, so it was made like normal, but without onions. This new setup seemedcold and clinical. We read the sign to go to order from the kiosk, and a number is called to pickup the order. The only time wesaw employees on the floor was to check trash. Read more

Avoid during the lunch hour. I placed a mobile order that should have been ready at 1:24pm. Lobby was closed and drive thru was... long, joined line at 1:19pm. At 1:46 I finally made it to the window and they did not have anything for me, asked me who Iwas/what I ordered (again) and told me to pull forward and someone would bring it out. 4 minutes later I received the worst foodI have tasted in a while. Burger did not have the toppings I ordered, soggy room temperature fries with no ketchup to disguiseit or napkins to catch the grease that had soaked through bag. With the lobby closed I did not have another 30 minutes to drivethrough again. I have had mediocre at best service here in the past so after today I will avoid this location for good. Read more
