I found this place by searching Google maps for "ramen". I got the otoro nigiri that looked great in the photos on maps and that... turned out awesome. The otoro was creamy and luscious - 2 pcs for $16. The other people in our party got a variety of differentmaki which was just ok. I couldn't get a specific reason why other than "I've had better" or "the fish in the roll wasmeh". The ramen, for which I came, was weird. The noodles were good and chewy but the pork belly was very chewy and very thin.The most egregious part was the broth. It was black and tasted like tea or something. It wasn't a tonkatsu or a shio or a miso.Just wierd. $12.95. I might return for the otoro but definitely not the ramen. Zen ramen and the ramen station 30 mins awaynear White Bear is much better. Ok, so I gotta rant... I hate ranting. But sometimes it's necessary! I don't like being lied to! Or "misinformed." OOka a... sushi bistro near my apartment building. Yummy I love sushi! It was delicious but well? Over priced in several ways. Fist ofall, that was a half roll not a whole roll! Just because you cut in in 8 tiny pieces does not make it a full roll. Second ofall, lady informed me at the door that their prices on menu have changed. Adding an extra 15%. That's fine. I get it, times aretough and prices are going up for food everywhere. We cool. I enjoyed my "half a $9.99 +15% dragon roll" and add a $4.99+15%vanilla ice cream tempura. And I get the bill... what, wait? Ummmm? I know how to do math. My bill should have said $11.50 fordragon roll (or at least the half I got) and $5.75 for ice cream tempura. But alas, my bill clearly states $12.95 for the halfor whole dragon roll, and $5.99 for the dessert. Ok.. not a huge difference but it's not 15% extra! It's 30% extra on the dinner20% on the dessert Either they are incapable of doing math, or they are liars. Either way I don't like liars and I worry abouta business that can't do simple math! Especially when the math is in their favor and bites the customers! If you wanna chargean extra 20%-30% THATS COMPLETELY FINE! JUST DONT LIE TO ME, AND SAY ITS 15% WHEN ITS NOT! Also don't try to convince methat a half roll is a full roll. Your really not being honest ya know? You are lying to customers and it's just not cool!Period! It was tasty, even if the dragon roll was warm. I thought that was a tad weird. Never had warm dragon roll beforeusually it's chilled. But it was seriously hot in that restaurant. Yucky. I ordered late, and expected the food to reflect that but it was BAD. I ordered an octopus salad and it literally stunk.... I’ve had ika sansai and tako su from many other nearby establishments and this was literally inedible. The smell wasdisgusting and it was sitting in some kind of thick, creamy liquid. It continued with the kani salad. The soft shell crab wasfine. Oily but much better than the other appetizers. Overall not good. And not worth the $100+. Read more

The environment is perfect for a sushi restaurant. The space is small but they did good utilizing it with combinations of... booths, tables, and bar. Great service. And the food was great too.
