Very disappointing. I suspect Covid has an affect on staffing here. We were at the restaurant about 3. We're told to take a... menu, and order at the front and then find a table. We were with another couple who ordered after us. They got their meal andwere half finished eating before I ever got my salad or our meal. Food was OK but not warm enough. My husband ordered breadpudding to go. When he got it, it looked like they had dropped it as it was in several pieces and was sort of smashed. Werecommended this place as our friends had never been to a Famous Dave's. Doubt they will return. Not sure we will either for along time. Read more
We were so disappointed is to say the least... More dirty tables than there were customers... Had to seat ourselves, go back up... and order... Had to get own drinks, when our food finally got to the right table, mind you it was us and one other table...Asked for butter and salt... Nope had to go chase someone down... Food was hard, cold, & tasteless!!! Bathroom was NOT clean andif you maybe if you use hot water and some elbow grease when moping the seating area floor... Your shoes won't stick to them;plenty of restaurant experience!!! Never again!!! Read more

I gave it one star because you can't go lower and leave a review. Our meal was a disaster. When did Famous Dave's become a... fast food restaurant with no service? It is a seat yourself which is fine except most of the tables were dirty. The food wasput in front of us and we never saw the server again even though I asked for a glass of water. The corn was mush, the frieswere soft and cold and the meat was very tough. I had four ribs, ate two and quit. Wasn't worth trying to eat another. Will never go back and obviously won't recommend. My experience is always fantastic every time I eat here. One of ?if not, the BEST? place you can get southern style food in the... area. Staff is always exceptionally friendly and food arrives on time. Thank you for all you do to provide such an excellentexperience! Read more
This Famous Dave's location in Appleton now has counter service. So, we were left standing around for far too long waiting for... a host to seat us before we figured it out for ourselves. Not sure why it's counter service, but the staff thought it was not acompany wide change. The service was decent after we were seated, as we did not wait too long. The place has the usual Dave'scharm, but it was almost empty at lunchtime. Another difference from other locations was the lack of blues music playing, sothe vibe suffered. The cornbread muffin and slaw were pretty great. The fries were okay, but could have been hotter andcrispier. The full rack of ribs was very tasty overall, however, one end of the rack was way overdone. I guess it was more ofa "Decent Dave's" on the Saturday we visited. Read more
I love Famous Dave's but this was nothing like any Famous Dave's I have ever been to. First of all you order yourself at the... front and get your own drinks.. which is fine and would have been fine if the food was good. But the food was awful. My 7 yearold refused to eat his corn and when I grabbed it I could tell just from looking at it that it was moosh and the one side waseven brown from sitting in the pan on that side so long. The meat was horrible... we got the 3 meat platter with the "firetips", pork and 2 spare ribs and as you can see we left 1 whole rib and 3 of the fire tips after each trying one fire tip whichresulted in me spitting one out and my husband choking his down. The pork was the only meat worth eating (after removing the fatand piece of bone) but they slathered the ribs and the pork in a horrible sauce that taste like ketchup. It definitely wasn'tone of the Famous Dave's BBQ sauces!! So after wiping the ketchup like sauce off the pork I would give it a thumbs up. We werevery disappointed. They made us pay first before we got our food and now we know why ???????? Read more
They changed things up since we were last there. Order and pay at the register first, find a seat, serve yourself soda...they... bring the food to you..We had a very nice young man help us out at the register! Food was great! Sorry! Kids dug in before I gota picture of all of the food Read more
