We found Ambrosia Indian Bistro accidentally on our way from SFO to Santa Barbara. Craving for Indian food and trusting the... reviews we decided to try it out. The place didn?t disappoint at all. We ordered Peshawari chicken sizzler, kadhai chickencurry, garlic naan and saffron rice. Naan and rice could have been better while sizzler and kadhai chicken were delicious. Ambrosia in Aptos has maintained the quality of the food & taste. Post covid dine-in observations...papad and chutneys used to... be on the house now they are charging hefty, all menu items gone up. Mushroom masala was very well prepared, Malai Kofta neededto spice up a bit instead of tasting almost like a desert, Baigan bharta was pretty bad. Onion Kulcha and Garlic Naans weregreat so was the Paneer chili appetizer even though it tasted like a fusion dish. Overall, they can cut down tomato based gavyin most of the dishes. Staff is too direct telling customers to leave as it passed closing time ....Overall still a great placein this neighborhood! Will continue to be their regular customer as long as they maintain. Went here for dinner on a Sunday evening. It was just about starting to fill up. We ordered a lot of food here - Dal Makhni,... Mushroom Masala, Butter Chicken, Trio Chicken, Amritsari Paneer Tikka with their Tandoori Rotis, Garlic Naan. The sizzlers -Trio Chicken, Amritsari Paneer Tikka were decent. Dal Makhni was great. There were a handful mushrooms in Mushroom Masala andthe Butter Chicken was sweet. Nothing exceptional. Read more

Good Indian food? (for USA!) Firstly we have lived in the UK (which had exceptional Indian food IMO) so like to think we know... good Indian food ????. Maybe others will disagree? Generally we have found Indian restaurants in the USA have been pretty lowquality (sorry) but this was better than average was totally fine, just not amazing? The bhindi okra dish was the standoutwinner, onion bahjis and dahl and rogan josh were all good too. Not particularly cheap, but that?s California I guess! Read more
