Really good burgers, onion rings and shakes. We were in the area for a college tour and the tour guide at Humboldt State told us... that the creator of SpongeBob went to college there. He apparently based some of the show on businesses in the area and Starswas the inspiration for The Krusty Krab! Read more
Hands down the best burger and shake I've ever had, and great service. Very reasonably priced for the freshness and flavor..... Just there recently, love the employees and the food. They have shake specials each day/week. I ordered one and asked if theyalso.could put some chocolate ice cream in it. I was hoping not to ruffle any feathers for asking for a special addition. Theyoung lady not only obliged with a smile but after I tasted it, asked me how it was. I said it was awesome, and she said "Gladto hear that, I love making them that way too." Go Starz! Read more
Tried the Double Double. Very good hamburger and would go back. But not the biggest nor best I've had. Very skimpy on the... amount of onion rings I got and so I find it hard to justify 5 stars when I leave a restaurant and I'm still hungry. Really,are onions that expensive? Stars is a Arcata and Humboldt classic. Good standard burgers. Not one of those places trying to serve enormous ones you can't... fit into your mouth. Good grass fed local beer. Love this burger joint. This is where all the university students come to andhas been a staple in the community for many years. Cool bonus, Humboldt Alumni that worked here at Stars Burgers was the creatorof the famous SpongeBob series. Awesome burgers and shakes. Read more
