Great place for breakfast!
What can I say? This is a classic bar. The bar/dining area is small but not crowded and there is a large outdoor/smoking area... out back. I come here for the wings probably once a week. In my opinion they are the best wings you can get in arcata (it usedto be humbrews but they are doing something different now with their wings). Its mostly a bar so usually there is only onewaiter for the tables but they get your drinks out fast so nothing to worry about. Read more

If I could give a zero star rating I would. 1-We called to place a to-go order and we?re put on hold for over 10 minutes, during... which we could hear the wait staff talking about the customer on the phone and how they?d probably hung up already - THEN neverpicked up the phone to check. The food is abysmal, 2- my medium rare stake was served overly well-done. 3- The biscuits areunder cooked. 4- The lettuce is brown. 5- The ranch is watered down and chunky. $60 for two extremely bad meals we couldn?t eatis unacceptable and depressing. I pay attention to my intuition and my intuition said step into this place for some fish and chips, and boy was I correct!... Beer-battered cod, plank fries, and an amazing dinner salad. My body was more than satisfied, good classic juke box with all theright tunes. Visit this historic gem for great food, great service, and wonderful Arcata, California atmosphere. Read more
WARNING: THE RESTAURANT IS NEXT DOOR - That being said the restaurant is extremely cozy with the chairs and tables. The server... was very nice and friendly even to the rude guests. We had the po' boy sandwich and the chickafee sandwich. Both sandwiches wereso good it should almost be criminal. With the sandwiches we ordered a couple of drink, a mixed margarita that you can order tobe strawberry, mango or both! Lastly, we had an appetizer of bacon fries and they were so good! They come in a huge batch so youcould enjoy then with a few beers or drinks! Overall, the service was awesome the food even more so! Read more
