I have been going to the Ardmore location for years and the service has declined. We were there for dinner last night for the... monthly King of the Hill Night. None of the staff seemed to be aware of this. We did not receive our complimentary appetizerand had to ask about the free pour. There was also an Ugly Christmas sweater contest as per email that they did not know about.Double points were supposed to have been awarded and when I checked my account no points were credited at all. There is aserious lack of communication at this establishment. This is not the first time I’ve visited where the staff was unaware ofpromotions that were announced in advance via email. Get your act together Iron Hill Ardmore! Read more

This is the best place in Ardmore - perhaps the entire main line. Food is great. Atmosphere is great. Bar selection is amazing... no matter what you are looking for. And the manager Shay is so friendly and attentive that random interactions with her alonealmost make the trip there worth it . Always a great experience! Read more

Visited this local place at 3pm and there were 2 other guess in the restaurant. I ordered the sampler appetizer and a chicken... sandwich & fried. While the waitress was nice, she never introduced herself or was wearing a name tag. Once ordered, foodservice was a tad slow. The food was fresh, but it lack seasoning (super bland). It seems like their was a shift change and thenew person (guy) came around to check in. One star for the place appearing clean One star for the customer service The wait, bland food, and value are the missing stars. Read more

If you have kids- this is the place to go! We’ve been a couple times and staff has been exceptional with my young kids. Great... kids menu that includes ice cream! Regular menu is great, too. I always get a salad of sorts- and they are hearty and filling!Haven’t had much of the beer, but my partner seems to enjoy it. Read more

The service was extremely slow with approximately 10 guest in the entire establishment. My party of 5 arrived at approximately... 3:30pm and didn't receive our food until approximately 4:15pm. It took our order approximately 45 minutes to reach our table. Our order consisted of 4 salads, one order of french fries, one order of buffalo wings, one order of calamari and one potpie. Our waiter stated that he was new and had only been at the restaurant for one week, considering that, he did a decent job. Read more

It’s hard for me to write this review as I’ve been a long time, loyal customer of Iron Hill since 2009. Before the pandemic... Iron Hill was as good as it gets for restaurants in its class across beer, food, service, and ambiance. It was consistentlygreat and I enjoyed almost every visit. The Iron Hill of 2022 is still trying to get its groove back but coming up short. Thiswas my second bad experience in a row. First the pros: Iron Hill’s beer remains top notch and the selection may even begreater than before the pandemic. The staff also puts in the effort to be very friendly. The rest of the experience is stillvery much a work in progress across food, service, and ambience. After a prolonged period of a drastically abridged menuthey’ve started to add more items back again with a menu refresh. On the whole, the menu and food lag pre-pandemic Iron Hill.Former signature menu items are still missing or have been reimagined for the worse, such as the crispy pork belly sandwichreplacing the old classic pulled pork sandwich. I’ve given it a go with the crispy pork on consecutive visits and both timesit has underwhelmed to the point of me not wanting to finish it. It’s a smaller portion than the old sandwich at a higherprice, making it a worse value. The sandwich feels like an attempt to make more profit on an equivalent menu item but itdoesn’t deliver. As for the service, while it’s friendly it suffers from the effects of understaffing. Tonight it was clearthat the staff was overwhelmed. After ordering a beer and a water it took about a half hour to show up, after we were alreadydone with our appetizer, and that’s only because I tracked down our server to point out that we still hadn’t received ourdrinks. When the beer did show up it wasn’t in a mug club mug even though I’m a mug club member. Long wait for less beer. When the food arrived it wasn’t as requested and the pork was under-sauced. Getting it right took a while longer. Finally whenthe check arrived Read more

Iron Hill is known for its beers. Its menu is a line up of good pub grubs. The location provides service and atmostphere. We... got good beers at this location. Food was so so. The rib-eye steak was over cooked, asked for medium rare, we got medium well. The chicken sandwich and fries were cold. The pickled cucumber slices were thick but not crispy and way too sweet. A chickensandwich from either Popeye's or Burger King would be better than this one. The Rhode Island calamari was the best dish of thenight, crispy with some tangy pieces of fried pickled peppers. Service was sub par. Food brought out without cutlery. Longwait between drinks. There are more micro brewery restaurants now. Iron Hill is slipping. Read more
