This place is great. Where do I start? A friend had come in from out of town and we were looking to have a nice meal. Everywhere... in Ardmore was booked out and this place had two reservation spaces open; so we took one. We showed up 5 minutes early for thereservation and the place was PACKED. It's not a giant place. We were told that we would have to wait a minute for a table,because there was a table getting ready to leave. The woman wasn't sure why we were able to make reservations which is kind ofodd, but the staff were super accommodating. We sat down and we had a great server. She shared with us that it was crazy for herand I appreciated her honesty. Friday and Saturdays have a prefixed menu associated. I wish I kind of knew this before, but thatwas ok. We brought a bottle of wine and enjoyed that. The dips were amazing; the pastry was outstanding. I got lamb meatballsand my partner got chicken. The chicken and meatballs were a little dry, but the sauces were really good. Midway through ourmeal dancers came out and entertained for about 30 minutes. The dancers were really good! We finished the meal with baklava andwe were off. I will be back for sure, but maybe this time I'll go during the week to see more of the menu. Read more
We visited Restaurant Marokko on a recent Friday during graduation weekend for the surrounding colleges. The restaurant was... very busy, but the wait staff were super-friendly and apologetic for the delays. Our food was fantastic -- we especiallyenjoyed the two combination appetizer platters which allowed us to taste lots of different dishes. Like many restaurants on theMain Line, it's BYOB, so don't forget to bring a bottle of wine to enjoy with your meal. Read more
Marokko is an authentic Moroccan restaurant in the heart of Ardmore. Marokko features a cozy dining experience full of... tradition, from the wall art, seating style and music you feel as if you’ve stepped into a small eatery in Morocco. Unlikemost restaurants in the North Eastern US this place moves at a slower pace, which is a welcome change, you can actually enjoytime with company and get immersed in conversation without feeling like you’re being rushed out the door. This slower pace iscarried into the meals they create, each appearing to be carefully hand crafted for you, both in appearance and flavor. Thesecarefully crafted meals are incredibly flavorful with carefully balanced mixtures of meat, veggies and spices, most of which arecooked in traditional potting. I had the Marrakesh which was cooked to perfection, some of the most tender chicken I’ve everhad. I highly recommend this place for a date night, or small gathering of friends. Read more
Everything from start to finish. I was recommend this place from a wonderful friend online. I planned a birthday treat for my... best friend and the staff was super excited to help set the scene. I walked in and the amazing waitress grabbed us some water,menus, and flutes for our champagne. She asked us if we were celebrating and I let her know it was my best friend's birthday andshe was excited. I ordered the chicken tajin while my friend had the lamb. She was enjoying the meal and our waitress came outwith chocolate cake lit with a candle. This was the best birthday dinner for her. The staff made the night!! Read more
This is my favorite place in the main line right now...we had awesome service and amazing food...after a horrible experience at... bam bam across the street...the people at Morokko welcomed us with open arms 15 min before closing time the server gave us freewine ???? and they invited us for some hookah after the meal...we had a great experience ???? I really enjoyed my meal here and will go back. The service was friendly, and knowledgeable about the different dishes with... which I wasn't familiar. I highly recommend the chicken bastille, either as an appetizer or main course. It's tender cookedchicken with nuts and other seasonings wrapped in a phyllo dough package. Super yummy! Word has it the owner is planning tostart a Moroccan brunch with amazing Moroccan tea, pastries and savory dishes. We had a small sample of her home made cookiesand pastries after dinner and they were delicious. If she serves them for brunch, I think I'll end up eating cookies forbreakfast. Read more
