If you want to step back in time a bit to when they had specials on a chalkboard, servers were sweet and the food was like... grandma's this is the place for you. There wasn't a huge menu except for the desserts. Blackberry cobbler was outstanding.Chicken and dressing was really good not dry like some. Chicken tenders were really good too. Service was maybe a little slowbut it was a busy Sunday. Cool pictures on the walls. Good times, good food and a good nap afterwards. Read more

Our family met here for lunch. The homemade food and desserts were all very good. The staff appeared to be a little shorthanded... but were very efficient. We did have to wait about 45 minutes for our food but it gave us time to visit. The wait was worth itfor us and we all thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Read more

Wow, such a different dining experience. This truly is a fun place to go out to eat with friends. This restaurant has cornered... the market on a unique dining experience of home cooked food. Think about it, who goes out for home cooking when you can justgo home to cook? The answer, people who come here. Such a warm and friendly atmosphere, with daily special menus written ondry erase boards, sodas served in mason jars, and staff that will make you feel at home. Two of the items that we ordered, theywere out of. And to me, I'm all good with that. Being in the restraunt business for over 25 years, I understand qualitycontrol and fresh food ordering. The place was packed, and that too was cool, the more the merrier right? Freshly relocatedfrom the Left Coast, I found myself looking at a menu full of items I had never seen on a menu. Fried chicken liver, gizzards, green tomatoes, squash, you name it, they had it, and it was fried. It was almost like being at the food court at the countyfair. To me, I'm not much into fried food, so I really didn't click with the food. Everything I ordered was new to me. Friedchicken gizzards (delicious but chewier than a Goodyear), fried green tomatoes, fried squash, and fried jalapeno hush puppies. All served with an icy cold Dr. Pepper in a mason jar. Everything tasted good, but once again, I'm not into fried food. Why 4stars, although I'm not a fan of the style of food, it was still prepared tasty and everything else was great. Would I comeback here again? Not by myself, but definitely with a group of friends, as this place is as I said before, a fun place to goto. Who knows, maybe my taste buds will change.... Read more

A great local place with a friendly staff. The place is casual and southern sides change daily. Menu has a good variety of... options. Many fried but was still good eats. Portion sizes are pretty large and looking at some other people's plates some areworthy of a takeout box. Can't ask for a more relaxed place to get a good bite of food. Have to again recognize the staff fortheir friendly nature. Read more
