Character & charm!!! I went to had a hot mocha that was SO rich!! My friend had a hot vanilla coffee? we were taking our time... and chatting as we sat outdoors on a great Friday afternoon. In 2020 I got a couple of their Chocolate Pecan Pie slices and it was so amazing, I wanted to get a whole pie of it! But now... that I am gluten free I'm not so sure if they take proper allergen protocols for since they aren't an entirely gluten freekitchen after all. Every week they update what is available in their sweets rotatation on Facebook and Instagram. Sometimes theyhave a gluten free item in the sweet rotation, but I am too paranoid. UPDATE (7-8-22) So I caved and got one of their glutenfree vanilla strawberry cupcakes, though it had a lot of glaringly sweet icing, I was pleasantly surprised it had some filing,and it did end up satisfying my cake cravings. THE NEXT DAY: I think I might have visited a little bit too early because when Icame around 8 AM on a Saturday, right when they open, they told me that they had only just finished baking the cupcakes and itwas a bit a bit early to ice them. They explained that usually they have everything ready by 10 AM. UPDATE (7-12-22) Tried aslice of their gluten free Peach Amaretto Cake, which was $7. To be honest, I don't know if the slice was work $7, but the cakewas good, especially the peach filling, however I still think that the icing is too sweet and abundant. UPDATE (8-2-22) Tried aslice of their gluten free lemon cake that has lemon buttercream icing, I'd say the icing for this cake was done better sinceit's not glaringly sweet. Something about the lemon flavor in the icing balances the sweetness more than usual. Read more
Sugar Bee Sweets Bakery is the new STANDARD! I don?t give places a 5-star rating just because. This whole time I?ve been... missing out on this gem! Please don?t do the same! Forget any other place you?ve gone to, Sugar Bee Sweets Bakery has it all! You?re true one stop shop! I was so impressed, I found myself looking for more things to purchase! Very clean, everyone therehad a smile on their face and great customer service! The owner overheard me talking about their super easy website and howuser friendly it is, she chimed in; super cool! When I planned my first wedding for a couple a decade ago, I used Sugar Bee Sweets. I knew that when I got married, I wanted... their delicious cakes for my own wedding. The at home cake testing box made for such a fun date night and their team was soknowledgeable and helpful during the ordering process. Sugar Bee Sweets made sure we had the best experience during our cake tasting (even during 2020) and their flavors were amazing!... We took home our leftovers from the tasting and my sister ended up falling in love with a cake flavor and knew then they werethe baker for her wedding as well! We ended up going with a regular 3 tiered cake and a sheet cake to get in an extra flavorbecause we couldn't decide. Leading up, they were prompt with their communication and made sure everything was still accurate.Day of, they were on-time and arranged the fresh florals we had left on our cake and it was better than we imagined. We had somany compliments on the taste and had several people take home extra! A year later and we are super excited to get ananniversary cake from them of one of the flavors from our wedding. I really wish I could give Sugar Bee?s 10 stars. We ordered our wedding cake from them and entire process was ridiculously easy... from their cake tasting boxes to the ordering. We chose an almond naked cake with raspberry filling and we received so manycompliments. Everyone loved it. Now that the wedding is over and that cake only exists in photos, I find myself making excusesto drive 45 minutes from Denton to Arlington just to buy their yummy sweets. CUTEST bakery ever! Very clean! We loved the treats we ordered and took home more cookies for later, too. Staff was super nice... and even gave us another cupcake and cookie free of charge because they were messed up, or not as pretty. Still delicious! Wethought the decor was really cute, too.
