Had the chicken plate came with rice, veggies (carrots and onions) side of hummus. The chicken and rice was really good, so was... the hummus but the portion of hummus was very small I had to ask for a further side. Read more
We were thrilled to discover this little hidden gem!! The wait was a little longer than expected but they had their hands full... with take out orders and we totally understood, all good things come to those that wait. Also the wait turned to our advantage,the owner was absolutely fantastic. As she cooked our food we chatted and fell in love with her, she was so funny and endearing.I was looking over the reviews and it’s sad to see that some people make it their life mission to destroy others. This ladyand her family are from the Ukraine and are trying to make an honest living. We are hoping that they do well and open anotherrestaurant in Mansfield, hint hint!! ????I was surprised that even my little American children LOVED it, so we will definitelyreturn soon. Read more

This is the first time I dined at a place twice before writing a review. My wife and I liked the food so much, we returned in... days. The food was fresh and prepared from scratch. It’s a family business. The chefs are the husband and wife. We loveMediterranean cuisine. Arlington has several good eateries for it. So how does Pita Hot compete? I think it’s the wife. Notonly is she a talented chef, but a friendly hostess. Her husband is from Palestine, but she is from Ukraine! She said they serveUkrainian dishes when they have time. But the preparation is more labor-intensive. I’m familiar with Mediterranean food. Isensed there was a slight twist to the taste. A delicious one. My wife ordered a Chicken Shawarma plate with Baba Ghanoush. Iordered a Beef Shawarma plate with Hummus. The marinated meat was tender. The vegetables were varied and generous. The rice wasfluffy and fragrant. The pita bread was fresh (it’s the brand!). For me, the hummus was the tastiest in town. We both finishedour plates. This was our lunch and dinner rolled into one. We dined in. Note the place has limited seating. Try not to visitwhen it’s busy. What about the statistics? Pita Hot had nearly 500 reviews (4.7 out of 5) at the time of writing. Taqueria Tepito has just opened a new location in Arlington off Matlock and Mayfield (next to Bamboo Pho). Santos Dominguez and... his Mom Maria are serving up some killer Tortas, Qesadillas, and Tacos. Pictured below is the Tepito Torta, their most popular,and as you can see, it’s HUGE! This sandwich was full of flavor and was hard for me to fully finish. You could easily savesome for later! Maria also made a special quesadilla that was off the chain! They have a little bar with chips and salsa thatcustomers can help themselves to while they are waiting. I encourage you to give this place a try and support this family! Read more
