In town and the hubby has to find biscuits and gravy. Well, what a cute place he found. We were able to park on the street then... later found that there is also parking behind the restaurant. We got a table quickly and were greeted right away by thefriendly staff. The coffee was good and there were lots of food options. We stopped by after back to school night. Our server was fantastic! Friendly without being intrusive, helpful, and quick to... bring us whatever we needed. My chicken fried steak was nicely fried, tende, no super heavy batter, and the dressed up hashbrowns were a great side. My son says his grilled cheese with cheddar and bacon was one of the best grilled cheese sandwicheshe's ever had. We'll definitely be coming back! Read more
This diner is really good but what it makes it special is Elysse's service, which I'd like to mention and to point out as... amazing. Thank you for everything, it's been a pleasure having dinner at your service. The food is quite good and the lemonadevery refreshing. I love this place for just a simple, delicious breakfast. Sometimes you just want breakfast like your Grandma used to make you.... We had crispy corned beef hash, scrapple & eggs, pancakes, and omelette with home fries or hash browns. Delicious! Read more
Worst service ever. We should have gotten idea when someone in front of us got rejected when they called and reserve. Their... party was big so they called to check for reservations and then when they arrive, these people said they can?t have these manypeople sit. You an say that phone that it?s no reservation. It was total chaos, I stayed in line and someone else cut and seat.I was baffled and when asked about it was being told that just grab a table you see empty. Even then I thought as 4+ review,should try it. I had family visiting outside USA, so let?s give them proper diner experience and were looking for quick meal. Itwas the worst decision. They took 1:30 minutes to bring our straight simple out of menu order. They forgot to put one order inwhich we came to know after that, and one order I had asked to removed veggie which they didn?t then they went and make sandwichwithout cheese and then I just lost patience. Another half hour in and we still didn?t got missing order. I was like it?s 2 hrsand getting late for sight seeing being dc museum scene crazy on weekend. I asked for check, they had so many things on checkwhich we never order. I asked to fix it then another 15 min, they fix part of it. In the end I had spend crazy time which I wasnot supposed to, spend extra on sides which were supposed to be free and have a family member just sit there and leave emptystomach. Took my husband here for Father?s Day and we enjoyed it. Although our order was wrong at first, it was quickly rectified. Our... waitress Andrea was observant.
