Went to this place Sunday with one co-worker, then went back on Tuesday with 4 co-workers. So 5 day trip ate here twice. The... food was outstanding, the service excellent. La Bettola Italiano is some of the best Italian I have had to date in the northern Virginia area. I went with my family for my... graduation dinner and my expectations were exceeded. The service was wonderful and the environment was pleasant. The food ismade entirely in house, from start to finish, and it comes out hot. You can easily taste the difference in quality between thisfamily run restaurant and a larger chain restaurant. For having a party of seven, the wait time was a little longer thananticipated. I noticed that they seemed very understaffed, so the wait time was understandable. All in all, it was a wonderfulexperience with amazing food. First and foremost, the food was amazing. I didn’t hear a single complaint about how the food tasted or was cooked. I had the... Linguine with Pesto Genovese and Chicken and I was blown away. The flavors were great, the chicken was tender, and the pestotasted fresh. The service, however, was the only drawback. The waiter was super friendly and helpful (didn’t catch his name).We went on a Thursday evening in a party of 7 and they had plenty of room for us. Overall, besides the fact that our food tooklonger than expected, I would definitely go again and try something else on the menu because everything on the menu is good andworth a try. We were in DC for some meetings and were looking for a good pizza place after a long day. Fortunately for us, we stumbled into... LA Bettola Italiano. We ordered a large Special Pizza, Fried Calamari and some pastas. The pizza was exceptional and easily inmy top 5 best pizzas I've ever eaten (and I've eaten pizza all over Italy). All of our party couldn't stop talking about thequality of the food. We couldn't stop eating even after we were full! Next time I'm in DC I will make sure I come back and eathere again.
