The restaurant offers French and German cuisines. A lot of meat options. The restaurant has two levels and outdoor seating.... Street parking is available. They offer brunch, lunch, happy hour, and dinner. We went for dinner. It was busy but we had areservation. It’s a lively atmosphere with dim lighting. We tried the pretzel with smoked cheddar fondue, honey butter, andspicy mustard. I would prefer a softer pretzel but each spread complimented the pretzel well. The pan roasted salmon was good.We liked that they made the salmon skin crispy. The pork schnitzel was hearty. The cabbage was al dente and pickled just right. Read more

We arrived without a reservation on a Saturday night and they were able to seat us which was nice. Unfortunately we chose a spot... next to probably the loudest, most obnoxious group of guests in the place. Additionally, the restaurant dimmed the lights a bitmuch in the middle of the meal so it was hard to see after. Aside from that, the food was good. We got a half dozen oysters, thegrilled octopus, the scallop entree and the beef Wellington. The total ~$145. Read more

From my (delayed) celebratory birthday dinner since someone special had to work on my actual birthday/ national holiday in... France ????????. Not pictured was the (amazing) escargot ???? appetizer or the German beer ????. Overall a very happy girl witha French 75 cocktail, escargot, mussels vin blanc with frites & ANXO Nevertheless cidre. My husband and son ordered the porkschnitzel with a side of fried brussel sprouts and the clams and chorizo with a few rounds of beer. There was room for dessertwhich was a (savory decadence) of the chocolate pot de crème and cappuccino. C’était délicieux! Read more

My friends and I went here for brunch. Overall, we enjoyed ourselves. I love a bistro. Everything from the feel to the food... makes me feel continental and nostalgic for my time in Paris. Lyon Hall has a nice ambience with lots of versatility in itsseating: indoor, outdoor, near a window, booths, high tops. We had the beignets to begin and they came with a dipping sauce(pumpkin crème anglaise-seasonal). The beignets themselves were piping hot and perfectly flavored. While generally pillowy, they were doughier than I typically like. The dipping sauce was light and lovely. For the main, I had the Croque Monsieur withfried egg, so technically a Croque Madame. Generally, I enjoyed the overall dish. Temperature, texture, and flavor were allright on point and the egg was cooked perfectly (which, believe it or not is difficult). The béchamel was flavored well, butwould have liked more. The dish would have been too dry if it weren't for the runny egg yolk. The salad was a nice sharpcompliment to the Croque Madame and brought balance to the overall dish. (It felt like a very classic bistro dish.) The servicewas good. Our server was nice and warm, though we did have to ask for refills a few times. I would have liked for them to checkin on us more. Read more

We came here for a weekend lunch, and the restaurant was almost fully packed. The mussels were just okay - many of them had sand... inside. The Brussels sprouts was fine, but it’s definitely on the much more oil side of all the crispy Brussels sprouts thatI’ve ever had. Overall, it didn’t particularly stand out, and I might not come back again. Read more

Our second time at Lyon Hall. And this time we brought friends! Everything was just as perfect as the first time. My steak was... perfectly cooked to how I wanted it. The cheeses were deliciously smooth and great with the fresh hot baguettes. They had tasty vegetarian options too. Always a pleasure to visit Lyon Hall when we travel to DC. Read more

If you ever come for brunch, make a reservation. It was pretty busy when my friends and I went. Just make sure the front staff... forgets you're waiting at the bar for your seating to be available. Overall we enjoyed our food. The crab cake benedict was ok,I wouldn't order it again. However, my friends loved their Brioche French toast and Beef Bourguignon. The service was overallgreat. The bartender was awesome and our server did everything with passion, so it made the experience much better! Read more
