The hotpot was so good and fresh! Try the Mala flavor :) I thought there was a good amount of meat for $22 single option. My... friend really liked her dumplings and wonton soup. I thought the service was great and maybe they were super busy is why it wasrated lower by others? We are for sure going back again! ???? Read more

We had a great experience at Mala Tang for dinner. My friend and I both got indivual hot pot dinners and I got frozen tofu,... cabbage and udon. The spicy broth was incredible and just at the right level for me, though I was sniffling throughout! Anotherfriend got the dry hotpot and fish soup and loved it. The portion sizes were huge and we all had a ton to take home, just asgood heated up. :) Read more

Find another place. The only thing good about this place is the exotic feel and friendly server, but even so, the server can... lack professionalism. First, the broth for the mala bites is just not flavorful. It tasted as if water down. Second, the beefskewers is not tender at all, definitely frozen. Third, the veggie skewers came in two pieces per skewer for 75 cents askewer. Fourth, the stir-fried dishes are a bit salty, but definitely better than the mala bites. We were the only tablethere, so that should've been a warning sign. Read more

Our first experience with hot pot. The food was bursting with flavor. I opted for the spicy broth and marinated Mala beef. I... only wish the collection of vegetables in the combo offered more mix and match without going full a la carte. Delicious. Servicewas great as well. Very helpful serve staff. Read more

Better atmosphere than your typical Chinese restaurant. Was very pleased with the dishes ordered, especially the beef/beef tripe... in spicy sauce. Generous portions, authentic taste. Will return. Read more

I had a dry hot pot… it was not bad, but hard to say worth it or delicious or authentic. Also, They don’t care people come... in to the restaurant. I waited for about 10 minutes to see a waiter. Read more

We visited here thinking this was a real authentic Chinese food place, and left with mixed feelings. Service was actually... decent. The food, not so much. We ordered an scallion pancake, and found a lot of pepper inside (see picture). This wasabsolutely not authentic. We also ordered steamed beef dumpling but received fried dumpling instead. For the hotpot combo, itwas OK with a good balance of seafood, protein, and vegetable. For some reason though we were charged an additional broth$3.95. From the outside, this place looked very authentic Chinese. Yet there was no one speaking Chinese, from reception towaiter. The menu was English only and it was hard to read through translation. Pictures from previous reviewers showed a muchnicer menu and apparently that was no longer the case. It seems the restaurant is under new management. It is a rather exoticthan authentic place. Another random spot we found off of loving spicy Asian food. It was good, large portions, pretty filling. Spice level wasn’t... as spicy as I thought it would be but the flavors were there. Service was also good through out and I would go back Read more
