Maddie was our waiter and she was very nice and knowledgable about the food. She helped my friend replace her salad's dressing.... The salad originally had too much blue cheese. The chery dressing was awesome and fresh. It got a little cold inside at dinner. Read more

Simply wonderful. Me and a buddy did the pasta experience and while very intimate for two friends in can hold up to six and the... experience made it all worth while. We had a great conversation over wonderful food. This is a new concept they are trying andthe Rosslyn team is nailing it. Go today and try their pasta experience. Read more

We found out about Sfoglina from searching Michelin Bib Gourmand awardees online. Bib Gourmand is the Michelin award that... emphasizes “value-for-money” award and that great food doesn’t have to come with a hefty price tag! We were in. Westarted off with a glass of wine each, Build Your Own Mozarella bar: burrata and artichokes. For entree I ordered the BraisedBeef Agnolotti del Plin; it was perfect. Melt-in-your mouth delicious! My husband ordered the Papardelle - he loved it as welland halfway through we switched plates. Picture not included - Rosemary Bread; really good. Finished off with the PiemonteseChocolate Gianduja Cake; chocolate ganache and hazelnuts = A MUST. The experience may have dampened because on my reservation Ihad indicated outdoor dining and came with that expectation. Upon arrival the patio wasn’t set up for outdoor dining, ourserver brought a lamp which went out within 10 min and no music outdoors. This could’ve really elevated the dining experiencebut the food is good worth it although depending on what subjectively is considered value-for-money our bill was close to $200after tip for the items pictured below + rosemary bread and 2 glasses of wine which was more than I expected considering the BibGourmand badge. Either way - if you enjoy pasta and good wine then I would recommend this place! Read more

I first tried Sfoglina when a friend got me a birthday cake from them! :') As a self-proclaimed cake connoisseur, their... chocolate hazelnut is one of the absolute best! I l-o-v-e Sfoglina! I finally was able to dine-in a few months back on ChristmasEve and we tasted many different pastas - one of my favs was the squid ink! Absolutely delicious desserts- try the hazelnutchocolate cake! The restaurant is beautiful and at the top of my list! It's a permanent dinner location every time I'm in DC! Read more

I'm glad we had reservations for outdoor seating because the weather was absolutely gorgeous when we went. Sfoglina in Rosslyn... can be hard to spot if you're new to the area, but the location overall is easy to get to. There's some street parking and alsoa parking garage right around the corner (in the same building the restaurant is in). There's limited space in the garagethough. Remember to take your ticket with you so you can get it validated! When you make your reservation, you'll have to put$25 per person, which they do charge to your card. You'll receive a refund when you get to your reservation (or if you cancelmore than 24 hrs prior). The restaurant itself is very very cute inside. Great ambiance with dim lighting, cute decor, and awell maintained outdoor space. We were greeting promptly by the hostess and didn't have to wait for our 7:15 reservation. Insideit seemed like it could get a little loud but outside it was very very quiet, perfect for conversations. I came with a friend, but honestly this would be an excellent date spot. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and nice an helped guide us through themenu. You get complimentary bread with olive oil - that bread was delicious We ordered some mozzarella bar items (burrata andcharred sweet peppers) as starters. It went perfectly with the bread. For entree, I chose the mafalde telefono, which was good -the pasta had the perfect chew. It was underseasoned for me, but Italian food typically is. A bit more salt would have made itperfect and this review 5 stars. For dessert, we got tiramisu to share and it was also good - very rich and creamy, you couldtell they used real mascarpone and not a combo of it w/heavy or whipped cream. Price-wise, I felt it was a little overpriced. It was $12 for a little round of burrata and another $12 for some sliced, sautéed peppers. Our app came out to $24 and I didn'tfeel it was worth it. The pasta I ordered was $28, and I understand that pricing given it's made in Read more

Great place for pastas! Came here Sunday for dinner—we had reservations and were seated right away. The restaurant inside is... super cute, and has a romantic feel to it. The service was exceptional here! We opted for the “Pasta Tasting of 3” to geta variety of pastas to try: Pappardelle, Spirulina Garganelli Vongole and Squid Ink Paccheri. The squid ink dish was ourfavorite, the other two pastas were a bit too citrusy. All three pastas were reasonable portions—definitely enough for 2people. The bartender made this Watermelon Mint Vodka cocktail—it was delicious!! I do wish it had a bit more vodka in it,tasted more on the juice side. Read more
