It was very busy since we went on a Saturday night but they took our order and brought our food out quickly. I got the carne... asada, tings, and one night in Bangkok taco. The corn in a cup was a bit too sour for my taste so I didn?t finish it. The tacoswere delicious! We found this place from Google and the raving reviews made us curious. The Mario Lopez Quesadilla was delicious and satisfying, much better than some regrettable choices I have made at Taco Bamba in... the past. Although it was worth the wait, logistical difficulties would tend to discourage future visits. Street parking isvery limited. I placed a takeout order inside the restaurant and asked how long it would take. The answer given was 5 minutes,and that I could park on the street with hazard lights on. Indeed, most takeout patrons seemed to utilize double parking. Notbeing that bold myself, I ended up moving the car twice during the 28 minute wait for one quesadilla order. I fault the ordertaker for providing an unrealistic estimate of how long it takes to prepare food. I took "5 minutes" to mean 15 minutes, butthe additional 13 minutes with insufficient parking were uncomfortable. Order ahead and expect to double park. Read more
Some of the most innovative takes on tacos I've come across in a long time. Specifically, the Taco Bamba is a great combination... with spicy chorizo and skirt steak. While the Funs Over is incredibly crispy friesld cod and potato strings. The Jeneral, servedin a large cabbage leaf, is bursting with seared ahi tuna and sesame salsa. ***VEGETARIAN REVIEWER*** Great place to get your taco craving but with a twist! Inside itself is pretty small but they do have... outdoor seating. They have a wide variety of DELICOUS salsa in their Salsa Bar (with a brief description and spice level). MUSTTRY ????: ? Spicy Shroom (a little dry but adding some salsa from the Salsa Bar helps tremendously! I just moved in the area and got recommended this taco place. Stopped by and it smelled pretty good! Ordered a few traditional... and more speciality tacos. They were super friendly and helpful. They have their own little salsa bar to pick and choose whichflavors you want. The tacos were great!! Tacos were fresh and had lots of flavor and meat. Their queso was good too. It was my 1st time going and I will say that the vibe is cute. I wish you could order from your table but again this is a 1st... world problem that I quickly got over. DANGEROUS & UNSANITARY This was the second visit and absolute LAST. Unfortunately, this restaurant is a hot mess. During my... first visit, I waited about 15 minutes past the order ready time. The kitchen staff and front house were disorganized. All ofthe salsa at their mini salsa counter was all out and they didnt even notice. The counter is literally less than 5 feet from thecash register. They were bouncing back and forth trying to get orders together for some food that was sloppy. The second andlast visit was this afternoon. Again the kitchen and front staff were disorganized. Again we were 15 minutes past the orderready time. Walk-ins were trying to place orders, pick up grubhub orders and wait for orders. There?s barely any room to stand.One of the guests was frustrated because he was waiting over 20 minutes for one taco. Another guest got her order handed to herand it was the wrong item. This prompted my wife to check our order and sure enough there were items missing. The manager tryingto coordinate things was visibly frustrated and frazzled. The place was overwhelmed with orders and not doing a very good job.This is a dangerous time for food preparation because that?s when mistakes are made and when big blunders can happen. That?swhat happened to us. On top of the cup of corn being too salty to eat, the tortilla soup had no tortilla in it and had a sloppygloop of mixed up shredded meat, melted cheese and random piece of corn. Very messy, salty and greasy. Then came the carne asadasopes with slaw on top that had a same colored METAL TWIST TIE mixed in. I didn?t find it until I bit into it! That?s veryDANGEROUS and UNSANITARY. I was so disgusted that I didnt even bother contacting the manager.
