Awful hotel picture does not do the food justice. Came to the DC area for some brief vacation time and always make it a point to... try Mexican food wherever I go. By far one of the best most authentic Mexican food I've had in the states. Brings me back to thefood of Aguascalientes, Zacatecas, Guanajuato. Portions are massive for the torta packed with meat as were the tacos even ifthey were a bit small. Lengua tacos are a must! For anyone on the fence just go for it. Also the quesa birria tacos have greatflavor. Literally all of the food was so well seasoned. We sort of expected the guacamole to start turning browning consideringit was a bit later in the day but it was nice bright and fresh too. Very easy five stars for the food! One of the most athletic Mexican food spots. They have been spotty at times with online... orders just as a warning, the bathrooms are not the cleanest, and the place is a little small. However for me the food is reallygood and I'll base my 5 stars on that merit for the Google algorithm. Read more
My wife and I came to this place in person once, and were completely blown away by the quick, attentive service and the amazing... food. It's the kind of place you'd drive a ways to come back to. Recently, we just found out they can deliver to our address inAlexandria and it may have been one of the best discoveries we have made in a while. The food was still the same quality as whenwe were there in person. This place has no idea how many orders they will be getting from us in the future. I tried the al Pastor, Pollo, Carne asada as well as a Huarache. It was ok. Taste wasn't as flavourful as I thought it'd be. ... The service was friendly though and prices reasonable. Taco Bamba is my goto though. Read more
This is the best Mexican restaurant I have been to in Virgina! I love everything about it, the people are amazing and very hard... working; everytime I go in I see the same young boy working and having a good attitude, and it truly goes a long way. Not tomention the owner is there many times I go and he?s always smiling and working with the rest of his workers(great boss if youask me). Don?t even get me started on the food! It is so amazing, from the meat to the sauce; absolutely amazing. The entiretime I?m there they?re constantly having people come in and out both to dine in and take out so you know it?s good food! We?ve ordered from them 5 times for dinner. So far, the top taco favorites have been: tacos de pollo, birria, fish, and... carnitas. My family also enjoyed the chicarrones with fresh pico and horchata w/cinnamon. My go to is their guac (w/chips)because of its chunkiness. Read more
