Went on a breakfast date with my wife on Veterans Day. We don't usually come up this way and we didn't realize there was a... parade happening. Parking was a challenge to find because of it. Pros: -Great waitstaff, super friendly -Supersized largeportions -Housemade food - always reminiscent of grandma's cooking -Super flavorful, no need to add salt or pepper -Freeflowpour sugar on the table alongside sugar packets! -Sweet tea option available! (Important to me as a southern woman!) -Funatmosphere, very much an old school diner -They take cash and card! -They have a super cute lunch counter with swivelstools -They have housemade cinnamon rolls that are bigger than your head -They offer a punch card and veterans get doublepunches! Cons: -Parking can be a challenge -You seat yourself, but if its super busy you're left kind of looking around readyto "vulture" a table -Service is a little slow, but honestly I'm ok with it because I know they are fresh making my plate. -Theydon't serve dinner. -They close at 3. Food: -The food was incredible. Very stick to your ribs. The menu has old schoolselections such as liver and onions, hamburger steak and omg the BEST mashed potatoes around! We had breakfast this time and Ihad the eggs benny and she had the biscuits and gravy. The biscuits were fluffy and gravy was perfect. The eggs benny wasamazing, great hollandaise! The potatoes were fried perfect, and you can add your choice of brown gravy or sausagegravy. Overall it is such a neat little place with excellent food. Just make sure when yiu go, you wear your best stretchypants! Read more

We had another really good breakfast here. It?s usually seat yourself although it doesn?t say so and that leaves people standing... in the tight doorway area, wondering what to do and sometimes holding the doors open. I do wish they?d make a better seating andwaitlist plan on a regular basis. They do a good job of cleaning tables quickly. I had to clean the bench seat from otherpeople?s breakfast droppings. My husband often has to ask for coffee refills. Everyone id always really nice and it?s often verybusy on weekends. My eggs Benedict was terrific and hubby?s chicken fried steak was huge and tasty too. I like that they ask howcrisp you want your bacon. ???????? they offer mimosas too ???? Read more

First off the nachos definitely passed the taste test for my fiancee who ordered them. She said those were the best ever she has... had. Everything tasted fresh and perfectly seasoned and the chips also were fresh. I ordered the fire in the hole burger and itlived up to the name lol. Really good burger and the fries were great. First time for us both there and we enjoyed it.Definitely will come back for more. Thank you Read more

First time eating here. Was a Sunday late morning lunch. They were very busy but we were seated within 10 minutes so, not bad.... We were given both breakfast and lunch menus, which I liked. Hostess brought our drinks and coffee right away. Our waitress camearound to take our order within minutes of our drinks arriving. We ordered right away. The wait to receive our food was a bitlonger than I had anticipated (about 25-30 minutes) but it was totally worth it. First off, while we waited there was someonecoming around filling our coffee cups every few minutes. And then when we did get our food the portions were huge! Neither menor my husband could finish our meals, we ordered breakfast btw (both in our 40's, Big appetites) everything was delicious andthe hash browns were cooked to perfection. We will be returning. Thank you!! Read more

Definitely has the diner vibe. Lots of teens around and working which translated to not the best service. Took quite a bit of... time to get our check. The food was generous, the potatoes were good and stood out. Pancakes seemed a little dry or bland.Overall I'd say the food was an average affair while the service could've been better. Read more

*Updated Review* Based on my in-person experience yesterday Monday* I walk in no one, I mean no one acknowledged my presence... upon arrival. Three waitresses were working within 3 feet of my direction. They all quickly glanced over at me and not oncewelcomed me inside or asked if I wanted to be seated. I heard a kitchen staff member tell the waitress? to help me & one ladyignored her and continued talking to a customer. I've never been made to feel so uncomfortable at any restaurants I've visitedin Arlington. I dined in a few months back & I was greeted very warmly and my presence was acknowledged. So after about 15minutes, one lady asked for the name of the pickup order that needed bagging. She seemed confused. She was finally bagging myorder walked towards my direction and didn't say not one word to me seemed very cold and didn't make eye contact. At this point,I didn't even want to take the food from a business that doesn't appreciate local customers. I felt like I should have neverwalked in. No one not a single soul said Hello to me upon entering the establishment. You've lost my business. You shouldn'tmake a possible customer feel unwelcome when arriving at your establishment. No*customer service skills here what's worst is allwaitresses here are in their late 40s & 50s. Months back fiancé & I dined inside we've never got treated so poorly! What'schanged?! If I could give this cafe zero I most certainly would do so. I can't believe how you treat local customers. The orderwas for my fiancé. I was picking it up for him since he was working. Read more
