We had a family dinner. The salsa was watered down for me. Spicy salsa was ok. It was 6/10 on spice level. The chips tasted... stale. I ordered camarones shrimp. I asked for it spicy it was medium. We ordered the margaritas they gave more ice thanmargarita. My family has been to this restaurant several times and recommended it to me. Service was slow only when I asked forother ingredients such as jalapenos. Above my table by the TV was a cobweb which is unfortunate. We let our server know and hejust smiled. Friday night at 7pm, not too busy or much a wait. In years past,, this place was booming on Friday nights. Well staffed and the... service was good, food was hot but only fair (have had better in the past here), prices are somewhat overpriced, especially forwhat we recieved and especially the frozen margaritas (stick um up over priced). Yes they're good, but most frozen margaritasare. This is the trend it seems at many resturants and will eventually be their down fall. Most all will have to find a way tobring value and satisfaction to customers with going out or ordering out to eat. The table and restaurant was clean, therestroom could def have been better. This is perhaps a 2 1/2 Star experience, cause it's been better in years past, will takesome to get back to that. Read more

The frozen margaritas were delicious. The food is prepared differently than I was expecting (nachos are single chips specially... made individually on the plate vs in a heaping stack and the 'grilled' chicken seemed boiled vs grilled) but it was stilldelicious. I hadn't been to Javier's for several years, I had forgotten what a nice place it is. Great service, wide selection on the... menu, good ambiance, and darn tasty margaritas. If you haven't been here before, you will find this to be far more authenticMexican food than the other trendy places in downtown Arlington Heights. Javier's has been here a lot longer than the otherguys. They put the attention and quality into their food rather than the latest trend. Visited again today, consistentexcellence continues. This restaurant is good place for Mexican food. I had taco dinner and it was a good meal but nothing special. This Mexican... restaurant has an American twist to it. They have nice seating outside. I recommend to order their Sangria, it is super good. Read more

The food is great. The bartender is awesome. The guy that seats you is fantastic. But when you sit down your ina different... world. The manager sits outside swinging his towel in a circle. I was blown away by my experience here. I admit many, many years ago, When it was known by a different name, I had a horrible... experience and didn?t go back but deep down, I knew I was unfair. Fast forward to today! Beautiful means you sit outside andthe little grotto seating didn?t disappoint although the acoustics are a bit lacking. Our server was polite and efficientmaking sure our order was correct. The margarita Blanca was perfection. As you can see, so was the Chori Queso, a perfect bendof peppers, sausage and cheese-not as much cheese as others. It still delicious. The enchiladas were delicious. Filled to thebrim with quality chicken and a sauce that didn?t overpower them. This is a place that will definitely be on my rotation. Read more
