I have enjoyed dining at Palm Court for the last 8 to 9 years. However, my experience last Friday, 11/11/2022, was... uncharacteristic of the level of service I historically have enjoyed there. Myself and a former co-worker, reserved a table inthe lounge (as we always have done) to be able to stay and enjoy the music while not taking up room in the dining room area. Thesalmon I ordered was dry and seemed less than fresh but I did not complain. I simply left half of it on the plate. We paid, andI was finishing my second cocktail, when the manager/owner approached us and asked that we give up our table because he wasbehind on reservations. He offered to buy us a drink at the overcrowded bar where there was no sitting or standing room – inessence, he was asking us to leave. I found this very disturbing and rude. It was only 2 of us at a small table about to listento the music that was just being set up at approximately 7:30, 8PM…He gave us a token $10 gift card each. Mind you, I usuallyspend between $75 to $200 on my meal and drinks alone and my tips are in the 20% to 30% range. This gift card seemed like a slapin the face. I discovered later in the weekend that the restaurant is under new ownership. Sadly, I will not return to PalmCourt, but I will be happy to continue frequenting fine dining establishments such as Capitol Grille (Schaumburg), whichprovides professional, welcoming service and the food is always freshly and expertly prepared. My wife Beverly and I dined there for the first time Saturday night and we love this place! Great atmosphere and the food was... really good! Jacquelyn Vale's singing performance was amazing - making the evening extra special! We had a wonderfulconversation with the owner George afterwards - super nice guy! He's doing a great job remodeling the place. We were veryimpressed! We definitely recommend this place. Read more

Place has been a round for a while and hidden behind a gas station with an entrance that is easy to miss. It is a nice place... with some dated features, but is overall taken care of well as a supper club. I heard they have live music at times too. Whilethere I had the chicken Alfredo, not bad, but have had better. If I were to go again, I'd get a steak of some sort. People atmy table had one and they did the cool light it with the flame of ever clear ontop. Would eat there again. Read more

First time diner and I have been and worked in the area for over 30 years. Great atmosphere, like stepping back to the old... supper clubs. Went after 1 in the afternoon and it was definitely the geriatric crowd. Why? Atmosphere, value and deliciousfood. I had a French dip with the best crunchy French fries ever. Another has a salmon salad that was a large portion andfantastic. Varied menu. Medium priced, large portions. I will return. Read more

So about Palm Court. If you're into trendy fusion or Michelin stars, this is not the place for you. However, if you find old... school charm, well, charming, then Palm Court is right up your alley. As soon as I stepped inside, I felt like I stepped backin time to an upscale 1960s Vegas restaurant where I could easily imagine the Rat Pack sitting in a high back, plushly cushionedhalf circle booth, drinking martinis and enjoying the swing band. Okay, so there wasn't a big band performing tonight but thevocalist (complete with a french twist, ruby lipstick, and a red satin dress) fit the bill just fine. And the food? Oof. Very, very good! I started with the french onion soup. There was no gruyere baked over the top but the crouton was good and the soupwas the perfect balance of beef and slightly crispy onion flavours. I chose the filet medallions topped with artichoke heartsand béarnaise for my main. Suffice it to say I happily ate every bite! Against my better judgment, I ordered dessert -chocolate mousse. I wasn't actually hungry. I really just wanted to see if they'd serve it in a martini glass. They didn't. Boo!But it tasted lovely, though it wasn't quite as smooth as I'd hoped it would be. Still! I probably ate 1/3 of it before mystomach said, "no more!" I'm tasting my way around Chicagoland's steakhouses - this one did not disappoint! Read more

I was taking for the first time my friends here, but kind of got disappointed at this place. I noted on my reservation that my... visit is a special event, but we got the table at the corner and if I was looking to be seated at worst place, I wouldn't beable to pick up worst than they picked up for us ????. Food wasn't anything like on some of the photos that I have seen - weordered calamari that was hard to chew ( we felt like we are chewing a rubber). Saganaki smelled so bad and impression thatshould be when they fire it it's not there ( was just small flame). I could go on and on, but I will stop right here. For surewe will not return. ONLY good thing was our server - she was amazing! Read more

I choose this place to celebrate our anniversary. The ambiance is nice, and I thought it will be perfect for this occasion. After... all, here is my impression: The food is excellent! Really, really good. Salad, grilled calamari, and top sirloin- everything wasperfect! Service- super! The only thing I didn’t like is the average age of people who were sitting there :-). Mostly elderlypeople. I don’t have nothing against it, but at one point I started wondering what we are doing there. The only two peopleyounger than 60. ???? (we are in our 30s) But I have to give them 5 stars because everything was great! Read more
