Gluten free friendly sushi place. Atmosphere is clean and modern, with a traditional flair. Wait staff were very friendly. They... were able to modify most of their special rolls as gluten free. Asian fusion restaurant. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Love the cocktail menu... with some seasonal specials. Lots of food choices. So far I had cucumber sushi and curry. The other time I was there I had thechicken katsu. All were delicious and the serving size is big which leads to plenty of leftovers for later or good to share aswell. Great spot for groups and date nights. Service was excellent!!! Read more
Large space with lots of wood accents. Menu with lots of options very competitively priced, bento box was popular with our party... and included a miso soup. Service was attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. They also offer a burger which was good served withpurple potato tempura fries. I would recommend Taka to anyone planning to visit Asbury Park. Nice ambiance with good food. Here are photos. I and my buddy had eel roll, burger, side order of broccoli and curry dish. The... burger was great and cooked perfectly. The side steamed broccoli was just basic w no seasoning. The curried vegetables w brownrice was flavorful. Read more
The shrimp sushi was my personal favourite, followed by the ginger crème brûlée. I personally wouldn’t get the mochi... dessert again but that’s personal preference. Everything was quite tasty and we had great service as well. Read more
Fantastic food, modern oriental atmosphere and stellar service, Taka is a great spot for any occasion that calls for nice... dinner. Both visits I had were excellent. Their sushi is the best in the area and the braised short rib was one of the bestmeals I’ve ever had. Can’t recommend this place enough if you love sushi and good food. Read more
This restaurant has a very nice ambience, service is stellar, and the food is awesome. Ordered the calamari, Ebi salmon roll and... the meatloaf, all excellent in presentation and flavor. Their drinks are also very good. Highly recommended. Read more
