Went for breakfast and got the cowboy(decent) but had one little potato at the end of it?breakfast quesadillas(ok) and the steak... and egg burrito which turned out to be super trash?it looked like someone had a loose movement, wrapped it and tried to pass itoff as food.???????? $31 total. The food is excellent but the staff seems irritable and like they would rather be somewhere else. Our waiter barely said 5 words... to us the entire time we were there. When I asked another server to get ours, she shot me the nastiest look. Recommend trainingor hiring people who enjoy working in the food industry. Service can make or break you. Read more

Sadly our experience was ok. I say sadly, because Anita's used to be the "it" place to go for authentic Mexican food back in the... day. The food was very good, but the service and facility was less than. Service was slow, many were standing around and therestaurant was not busy. Even saw the manager sitting on his phone in the corner of the restaurant (which was saying somethingabout the state of the restaurant). Our table felt very sticky, and tables surrounding ours were still left with old food fromprevious customers (again, not busy, easy to bust and clear). If you don't know about Anita's you should, especially for breakfast on the run. They sell hundreds of breakfast burritos every... morning across all of their locations and they open at 5:30am. What's really cool is that they're less than $3.00, but onlyearly, they go up after breakfast. Those little things are the best deal in the DMV, without question, and they make them toorder, whatever you want, just ask. My fav are the regular, nothing added, no special instructions. Definitely ask for extrasalsa containers, at least 3 per burrito, take my word, you'll be happy. Landscapers and contractors have been enjoying thesethings for decades. Anita's has been around for several years now and at this point I would consider it a Northern Virginia institution. It's always... a joy having a meal here with their big portions and bottomless chips and salsa, which by the way I would drink a pint of if Icould. It's got that spicy kick that is just right for me, and the right consistency to pour over everything. My go to is alwaysthe Anita's combo, which has a crispy taco, cheese enchilada, a chimichanga, rice, and beans all doused with their red sauce. Itwill definitely conquer any appetite of any size. Solid, authentic New Mexican food. The vibe of the place is also really authentic, feels like I stepped into Albuquerque. The... breakfast burritos are where the magic happens here. I?ve had some of the other food, mostly hits but an occasional miss. Theyput some corn meal in the pancakes which makes them amazing and unique. Coming back for those too! First time to Anita's. I had the green chili pork bowl for lunch. It was lite on the chili but had good pork with large tender... peices, beans, and rice. The experience was good and I'm looking forward to trying dinner here. The waitress was excellent. Read more
