The panner in Tikka masala was soo hard to cut or chew. We ordered mild but the gravy to extremely spicy. Spicer than the... normal level. This is the 2nd time facing the same issue. The Naan pieces are not cut in to small pieces. It was 1 giant naan. Read more

I ordered two plates of Chole Bhatura last evening and realized little later that only one order was provided. We called to let... them know the issue however met with disrespect and terrible attitude from the manager who calls himself Johnny. He interrogatedus with several unnecessary questions which were unintended and went into defensive mode with very rude behavior. I understoodthat it?s not worth arguing with a staff who does not realize a value of a good customer. When I asked for the owner he did notdisclose the details and his behavior in the phone was terrible. Saffron lost a loyal customer and I encourage everyone todouble check your orders and even better look for other alternative restaurants who value customers. Read more

We were at Saffron for Lunch today and ordered Non-Veg Thali..They gave Daal, papad, Okra curry, Plain Saffron colored Basmati... rice with one minure bowl of mutton saag and chicken. I even asked the lady if this is veg thali and asked her to check iforder was wrong..also there is no refill too. In what sense a non veg thali has veg food with zero appetizers. Read more

I love Indian food and during my time living in the UK sought it out and traveled across the country to try some great places.... While I managed my expectations here, I thought it was just OK. As someone else said, I found the taste to be too oily and thefood average in quality. I found it to be a bit bland and lacking in the levels of flavors you find in truly great Indian food.I also thought the price was quite high, with $5 for a single naan way too high, even for NoVa standards. The ambiance was nice. Read more

Inconsistent should be the name of this restaurant. Despite being Indian cuisine it's for the most part bland. The food is... lacking all the basic elements that make Indian cuisine flavorful. I've been to this place several times and I've only gotflavorful food three out of ten visits. That said I know this place has potential and I want it to be great but as it iscurrently I can't recommend this place to anyone until they improve. Read more

One of the better Indian Food experiences in Virginia but not the best. The restaurant unfortunately messed up the order. The... chicken tikka & butter chicken were good. However the dal fry & paneer vegetable missed the mark. The Palak chaat was the standout dish from the entire meal. Read more
