Found the Fox late. But, It was worth the wait. The place is excellent for catching up with friends and having good food and... the best old-fashioned. Service was great and the server was friendly. Cocktails were delicious but as expensive as an entree. I had the shrimp and... grits and was extremely disappointed with the portion. It tasted delicious but for the price I expected a larger portion. It is3 shrimp and a spoonful of grits. My boyfriend got the burger which tasted fine but was disappointing. We have had betterMcDonald's burgers. It was two very thin greasy patties on a giant bun with a pickle sauce. We would go back for a Cocktail butwe definitely wouldn't go back for food. Good vibe for a night out. Service was great at the bar in spite of the place being hopping with late night crowd. Bartenders... put on their A game with cocktails - try the jalapeno margarita for a cocktail with a kick or an old fashioned for a traditionalfavorite. Food was delicious. Had a great time there with friends. The burger that I ordered was pretty good. I asked for no onions, buttt they brought mine... with onions after a twenty minute wait. We have been here twice now, will be back again. Ceasar salad, salmon, and Cauliflower "Risotto" are all top notch. Friendly... staff, fast service. Togo orders are just as good as eating in the dining area if you are in a hurry. Well worth trying thishidden gem. Read more
I found the fox! Visited from CA to see some friends and catch up. Ended up staying a lot longer than I expected because... everything was so good. The steak was prepared exactly to my liking and the rooftop bartender served up a delicious oldfashioned. Service was phenomenal and the manager made me feel welcomed. Definitely recommend The Lost Fox to anyone in thenorthern VA area. Read more
Tried this place out for our anniversary, and it was a great find. The ambiance was great, the menu provided plenty of options... as well. Tried a couple of their in house cocktails and they were flavorful and strong. For apps, we got their crab dip and itmight be the best crab dip we’ve ever had. They had the perfect amount of pita chips to go with it as well. For dinner, wewere going to try one of their larger entrees, as the roasted chicken, the carbonara, and other dishes coming out looked great,but we then chose to go with their burger. Saw it come out for a table next to us and the waiter recommended it, so we both wentfor it. Unfortunately after the first bite we scarfed them down and didn’t get any good pictures for here. The burger issimple as well, two patties, smashed down, and regular sesame seed bun, but then you bite into it and it’s full of awesomeflavor with the special sauce they have. Nice atmosphere for happy hours and quick bites BUT 1. Food portions are extremely small and pricey. Drinks are good 2. I sat... out at the patio and it started raining. I asked for inside table and it took us 20 minutes to be moved... they said they arecleaning the table inside but the fact is all the booth inside were NONE occupied 3. Server was not attentive.
