A real disappointment for a special occasion. I took my wife and daughter here for my wife?s birthday. We have been looking for... a restaurant in NC for years, that has Beef Wellington. We were so excited to find Hamilton?s. We made reservations and reserved(2) Beef Willington?s, (cooked MEDIUM) We drove nearly an hour to get there. Our service was great (Our server confirmed that wehad reserved two Beef Wellington?s cooked MEDIUM, when we ordered our daughters entree), our soup, salad and bread were great,but then our entree?s came and the Beef Wellington that we came for, came out cooked WELL DONE / completely grey in color! Mywife?s mashed potatoes and gravy were cold. We brought this to management?s attention. They immediately brought us fresh mashedpotatoes, but only offered us free desert in place of two $50 dollar EACH, ~way~ overcooked, and not good Beef Wellington?s. Mydaughter?s grilled Salmon was good, and the two deserts were good, but all the ?good? was not worth $169 for a dinner for three,when two of the entrees were nearly inedible. We were hoping this would be our new special occasion restaurant, but what adisappointment and a let down. Bottom line don?t order the Beef Wellington here! Read more

We dined here for our wedding anniversary and it was amazing. The food was great! I wish I would have took some pictures but was... ready to eat. Besides everything being wonderful, I would like to recommend the stuffed mushrooms as a starter. They were onpoint! Our server Becca was very attentive and on top of things. One of the best steaks I've ever had. filet mignon - perfectly cooked for me at medium. The green beans and the side salad also... good. As was the Hamilton's artichokes.. a recipe from the hometown of Rochester New York. My husband had the dry age ribeyewhich he absolutely loved. Great service, nice atmosphere... If you're over 50 you might need a flashlight to read the menu asit's pretty dark in The restaurant!! We plan to go back to enjoy another wonderful steak! Read more
Found this gem when looking at restaurants in the Asheboro area for after the zoo! I love a good a steak and we decided to go to... the place that advertised a 50oz cowboy ribeye. We found this place about 2 weeks before our trip and was able to put in areservation for both us and the steak. They do ask you let them know ahead of time for this steak and the beef Wellington. Foodwas amazing, drinks were good, only complaint I have is the steak knives are the dullest things ever. The bread knife wassharper so I ended up using that and we asked for a second one for my boyfriend to use. This is a standing pet peeve of mine forplaces that are considered to be steakhouses. I brought my wife here to celebrate our anniversary while we were on a family trip. It is always a little risky picky a... restaurant so far away from home with no personal knowledge of the establishment, but Hamilton's did NOT disappoint! When weentered, we found a clean and inviting waiting area, friendly and welcoming staff, and a nice, relaxed atmosphere. We wereseated and immediately greeted by Gerardo, our awesome server that was not only knowledgeable about the menu, but personable- hetruly added to the enjoyment of the evening. We started off with the crabcakes and had no regrets! The lemon butter wasdelicious and enhanced the natural flavors. We thoroughly enjoyed the bacon gouda macaroni and cheese. The ribeye was cookedperfectly. The beef wellington was amazing, to say the least. The crust on the key lime pie was perfect. The salad was really good. The waiter was nice. The steak had no flavor. The Gouda Mac and cheese was cold and hard. I know it... was between lunch and dinner when we were there but, if you spend this much money on a meal, it should be better than Goldencorral. Read more
