Customer beware!!! If you want to get some really authentic Mexican food such as tacos or tortas, definitely go somehow here... else. Asheboro has these two hole in the wall Mexican restaurants named “Taqueria Mi Ranchito” and “La Escondidita MexicanKitchen” that you can get amazing food from instead of here. Don Julio’s and Burritos Brothers are alternatives for a moredine-in experience. So this place I ordered 2 chorizo tacos and 2 carne asada tacos and 1 torta with carne asada. In all 3 menuitems, we got home and discovered that the meat was basically ground beef and it was raw. Not only that but the cilantro andonion from the tacos were “soapy” and the lettuce from the torta was still dripping wet and it had a foul smell coming fromit. It’s like they assembled my food in their kitchen sink. And finally the icing on the cake was that we found a very thinlong black hair underneath the tacos. This entire food definitely went in the garbage can. I’m sorry but no. Definitelydon’t come here unless wanna get sick. Read more

Oh my goodness! So Authentic, fresh & delicious!!! We ordered to go. It’s a small place. But wow! My husband raved best tacos... he’s ever had! Seriously fresh and authentic. The prices are extremely reasonable. Definitely recommend ???????????? Read more

I have quickly become a big fan of this restaurant. We recently did a family vacation to Asheboro to visit the zoo and otherwise... relax. One day, I randomly looked up tacos nearby to where we were, and Senor Mason showed up in the search. We had a littledifficulty finding it at first, but when we finally did, we ordered a couple of tacos each (hard shell for me and flour for myhusband). Boy, they did not disappoint. Let me pause here to state that I’m not a fan of tacos. I’ll eat them, but I rarelychoose them. So, I wasn’t expecting much when we ordered from here. Senor Mason has made me a taco lover. In fact, we wereonly in Asheboro for 3 days and visited this establishment twice. Just yesterday we were traveling back to Raleigh aftervisiting my family in the western part of the state. A lightbulb went off in my head reminding me that we would pass Asheboro onour way home. I was so excited to stop and get tacos again, as was my husband. They were just as good as we remembered, althoughonly a week had passed since our family vacation. I don’t care. I am looking forward to figuring out other ways to keep thesetacos in the rotation. In fact, I challenge other Mexican restaurants to make tacos as good as these. Seriously, I need moredelicious tacos in my life. Read more

Delicioso!!! This family-run Mexican street food restaurant is a must experience. Authentic flavors and everything is freshly... made to order. The chilaquiles with red sauce were the best ever. Also tried the quesadillas and spicy shrimp. Can’t wait toreturn and yes, it’s in a not that pretty location, but beautiful and very clean on the inside, including the restrooms. Read more
