What a fantastic meal! The cocktails were great (corpse reviver #2, yay!), and the Brussels sprouts are the best in town. Ralph... L. chose the wine for us, and we were so impressed. The charcuterie, pasta and entrees were impeccable. Avenue M is certainlyworth the drive from S. Asheville. Cheers! Read more

Excellent food and New York Strip was phenomenal. Only issue is we arrived 1hr and half early for our reservation and was... content at waiting at the bar and had several drinks. I asked the hostess that if a table opened up we would like to be seatedearly and if we could eat at the bar which we were sitting at. By the time we got seated the restuarant looked like the pictureI attached. 4 start even with the disappointment we couldn't have been worked in early. Read more

My daughter and I visited Avenue M for the first time last night. The service was amazing! Tony and Jesse made the experience... wonderful. We started with the Brussel Sprouts which had just enough spice kick to wake up my taste buds. I had the tortelliniand my daughter had a double cheeseburger; both were amazing, the beef on her burger was tender, lean and perfectly cooked. Itwas a messy burger- "the best kind" she stated. I think my favorite part was the dessert. the paw-paw dessert- forgive me Idon't remember the actual name of it- was an explosion of flavor. Who would ever think of adding black sesame seeds to adessert? They did and it is to die for! We will be back for sure. Locally owned and well done! thank you for a fun anddelicious night! Read more

After booking randomly on OpenTable for a family trip to Asheville, we had such a personal and unforgettable experience. I... cannot speak highly enough of our server, Mike, and Ralph, one of the owners. I was worried about being on the patio on a coldnight but it is basically inside and there’s a massive “rotisserie” heater. We all have vastly different food preferencesbut we’re all super satisfied and I had the best scallops of my life. I literally just got back to the hotel from therestaurant but we’re all so excited about and thankful for our experience, how beautiful the restaurant was, how much timethey spent with us that I have to write this now. Book a table at Avenue M! Read more

I love Curate. I love Ukiah. Now, there's Avenue M. This place has joined my pantheon of the best places to eat in... Asheville. The staff: amazing The food: amazing The ambiance: this is the Asheville vibe of going out to dinner I love. nice, but not pretentious. warm, not stuffy. Our waiter was so incredibly patient and everything he recommended was stellar. The guyworking the door was great and kept coming over to check on the dog we had with us and was just a delight. The sommelier evencame out to walk us through the wine by the glass options. We ordered: the relish board: 5/5 the catfish: 5/5 the peanut sauceon the catfish: 6/5 the half chicken: 5/5 the potatoes beneath the chicken: 6/5 the filled pasta: 6/5 the wine: 6/5 themargarita: 5/5 For three people this was plenty of food, we practically rolled out of the building. Protip: If you're worriedabout hanging on the patio during inclement weather, don't be. The "patio" is fully enclosed, warm, and cozy. Alright that'senough talk, go look at the photos. Read more

I was disappointed with the food (service was fine) and some of the dishes my party ordered were way over-priced---$17 for a... small plate of mushrooms, a few of which were so overcooked as to be indedble. This place changed hands last year, but I don'tthink I'll be back. Read more

The food is delicious and the service is great. Very nice takes on classic Italian dishes. Deserts were very different, well... done, presented beautifully, and GOOD! Read more

This place seems a little confused right now. Let me start by saying the server, hostesses, and Tony were all great and... friendly. The food however was unexpectedly not. Avenue M has always been a place we would go for upscale dining. It had niceflavor and portions at an affordable price. We dined here tonight and didn’t experience any of what we used to (the last timewe had been here was late 2019). The menu is small and all over the place. The burgers come in diner style baskets while thepasta we ordered came on nice plates. The menu is vast, but seems all over the place. The portions were very small. TheTortellinis pictured cost $22 for 7 pieces. The Raviolis here cost $20, which both are fine if they came with a salad like I wasexpecting with those prices (and given that is how it has always been), but they didn’t. At least the Tortellinis lookappetizing. The Ravioli plate had a congealed sauce from sitting out too long and needed some type of garnish. Tony came out andbrought by a much better pasta after we sent the Tortellinis back. Maybe I missed the announcement of this place changing thetype of food they serve, but it’s not a place you go for upscale food anymore. The scallops, beef medallion, lobster, etc daysare gone.
