Reviews for Foothills Food Truck at Hi-Wire River Arts District in Asheville, NC

We probably eat at Foothills various locations more than anywhere else. It?s so important to know we can trust the quality and... integrity of the ingredients when out to eat. We are so grateful that Foothills matches our own standards! So many places cutcorners and use cheap, unhealthy seed oils which we will go out of our way to avoid. Not to worry though at Foothills they cooktheir fries in tallow! You will taste and feel the difference. All their meats are so fresh. Our kid loves the hot dogs and wealways do the classic double without ketchup and tomato. The seating at the brewery is great and dog friendly. Easier parkingthan the biltmore village location and lots more covered tables. Plus they have pinball and bocce ball. Wish they used a Mayowithout soybean oil. I?ve seen recipes for tallow or duck fat mayo so it would be amazing if they made their own. I?d buy jarsof it!! Read more

Unfortunately the brisket sandwich was utterly without flavor and was mostly gristle. We both felt off for the rest of the day.... Never again. Read more

Update: went back and the fries were SO much better. We also got the Brussels on a stick. They're very tasty, though spendy @ $8... for what you get. Two skewers with a total of maybe 8 sprouts cut in half? As soon as you get them, lift them out of the saucein the basket or the crispy Brussels will get soggy. --- Let's get this out of the way, the fries are terrible. There's no wayyou're going to get a good fry consistency with tiny half inch shards and five inch planks in the same batch. Some are going tobe nearly burned and others undercooked. Even the salting was inconsistent. Fix your fry game before summer, please, I plan tolive at Hi-Wire this year. On to the burger! This beast was called The Kitchen Burger, I assume because it had everything andthe kitchen sink. They put it on sourdough toast, which I didn't understand until I opened a BRICK of burger. It's enough fortwo. Beautifully toasted sourdough slices smothered in grilled onions, bell pepper, cheese, two patties and honestly the bestbacon. They use Dukes, so hat-tip for that. The patties were standard, well executed, but the MVP was the bacon. This isn'tstore bought bacon, it's thick and juicy and AMAZING. Keep in mind it's probably just one person working the truck, which meansthe kitchen and the POS, so be patient and be kind. For $16+tip this was a solid deal, and the location works for me. Happilyadding to my rotation. ???? As a concerned citizen, FIX YOUR FRIES. ???? *The fries in the picture are a small portion of thefries that came in the bag. I took creative liberties to get the burger in the shot. Read more
