This was a huge disappointment. I We ordered the salmon and a burger. The salmon came out raw and the burger that was ordered... medium came out charred and dry. We sent the salmon back and they cooked it again briefly and sent it back out just as raw asthe first time. The flavors were ok but the cooks leave a lot to be desired. Read more
We were very excited for our first visit to Golden Fleece but the experience was far from expectations. We were seated over 45... minutes after our reservation time and watched two other groups actually walk out. There is no waiting space, so everyonewaiting for a table was squeezed into the entry way which actually hovers over one of the dining tables. The hostess wasunfriendly and disappeared frequently for long periods of time, leaving new groups who entered wondering what was going on. When we were finally seated, the experience felt so rushed. We were eating our two appetizers when our entrees appeared at thetable. We were seated for less time than we waited for a table. Dishes were sold out which is understandable but it only addedto the disappointment. The food was good but there are so many wonderful restaurants in Asheville for foodies that we can’tsay we will be back. Read more
