The fish and chips, chicken biscuit with gravy, hummus, and the pasta were delicious! Though we could have used more of the... wonderful gravy. The servers were quick and professional. The only problem was that we all were coughing because of the smokein the building from the kitchen. Almost everyone we saw who came into the building coughed within seconds of entering. Read more

100% would recommend!!! The building inside and out is a beautiful, farm house type vibe. It just felt homey, comfortable and... aesthetically pleasing. The staff was so very nice and the service was amazing and fast! Don’t even get me started on how goodthe food was. It seriously was fantastic both me and my mom were in shock. I got the bbq tofu sandwich with a side of fries andshe got the buttermilk fried chicken with a side of Caribbean jerk squash and stewed zucchini with tomatoes. So delicious!! 5stars from us! HomeGrown is an Asheville staple for when I have guests visit. The food is super tasty, the prices are fair, it has a relaxed... atmosphere, it's on the same street as a bunch of ice cream shops, and their dishes are always in season. I'm glad they survivedthe COVID lockdown; if they closed, I might have moved! If you're visiting from out of town, swing by here, you won't regret it! Read more
We came in for a late lunch based on reviews. You order at the counter and that goes quickly. The employees are friendly. My... husband and I both ordered smoked pork plates. I got mine with cheesy grits and he got the fries. The grits were good but thefries were amazing. He felt the pork was a bit heavy on the pepper but mine was great. The slaw that came with it was alsoreally good. The portion size was good and we left very satisfied. There are multiple seating areas including some outside. Iwould definitely come back. Read more
