The food was absolutely out of this world! Gigantic portions and very very flavorful. I would do a thorough cleaning of the... establishment especially the restrooms. Alright, let's be honest. This is a great name for a restaurant. This one is a Mexican restaurant with pages of menu... options. Of course they start you with a bowl of chips, but theirs comes with a bean dip instead of the usual salsa. Goodstuff. The food? If you like Mexican food, what you like is somewhere on the menu. Real deal Mexican food! We are from Southern California and living in Orlando, FL. We haven’t had real, authentic Mexican food... in 6+ years! These guys are it, table beans with chips, variety of salsas, shredded beef tacos, chile rellenos! I judge a placeon their rice and beans after their taco meat choices and these were delicious, just like home. Delicious and friendly staff! Read more
This is some of the best Mexican food we’ve ever had, so good that we drive almost two hours one-way just to get here. The... fresh chips and warm bean dip is outstandingly good, and the fajitas, the chicken soup, the burritos, are to die for. Serviceis always outstanding! I love visiting Asheville as a little break from the busy life in Atlanta, and while doing so, I always try to find new eateries... to add to my list. I must say, “Mama’s & Beer,” was absolutely amazing! So good that I went back on the same day fordinner (had their food for lunch). My favorite item of theirs is the Pineapple Shrimp Fajita. It was delicious!! If you likePineapples, ask them to add extra chunks when ordering (there were a few in my lunch, but plenty in my dinner). Passing through the area and seen it had good reviews. Looks a little run down when u pull up…we were weary about eating... there. They have a salsa bar which was interesting. The salsas and bean dip provided was really good. Food was tasty and theservice was good. More of an authentic Mexican restaurant. Local in town and we go here fairly often. On the smaller side so limited seating inside and a bit on the patio but worth the... stop. The salsa bar is definitely on point and one of our favorites. Servers and staff are always attentive and super friendly.Food even when they are busy comes out pretty fast from the kitchen. Group favorites are the avocado burritos, steak fajitas,and enchiladas. Very happy overall and would recommend. On a 1-10 scale probably 6.5 - it’s very fair priced. Good portion. Fresh. Flavor is... good. They have daily drink specials. I’m attaching pix.
