We had a great experience. A bit of a wait, but for a Saturday afternoon we expected as much. They even had a gluten free bread... option (they sometimes run out though. So maybe call ahead). The LOVE burger was amazing. Would definitely return. Also lovegetting the 32 oz soda for 99 cents at the gas station it shares space with haha. Overall, lives up to the hype. Note: not alot of seating area. They also ran out of potato salad. But nothing the great food didn?t make up for. Read more

This is the kind of place that makes me excited to run through the menu. I take a methodical approach, repeating the same item... several times until I feel I have sufficiently understood the nature of the offering. The buffalo chicken sandwich is one ofthose flavor islands you don't mind being washed up on. The care and skill in preparation is evident even before the first bite. The sauce is a respectful homage to Crystal that all fans of this most delicious hot sauce will enjoy. Once settled in to thesandwich the freshness of ingredients immediately stands to the front. Lettuce is green and flavorful and tomatoes are red andtaste like they were picked out of the backyard garden. Smile-inducing dilly pickles have a fresh flavor and crunch that setsthe sandwich apart. Housemade chips are not to be underestimated. These are perfectly browned to perfection and taste like apotato should. The crunch is as loud as the flavor. I ordered some ranch to dip them in and am convinced this is one of the mostdelicious house ranches I have ever tried. It's thick, but just right and tastes farmhouse fresh with a pop of flavor. I will beunlocking more gems of Sand Hill soon and hope you share this special place too and take care of these talented folks that workhard to bring us this goodness so consistently. Read more

Ever since we read about the award winning chicken sandwiches, we could not resist. My partner loves the classic fried chicken... sandwich and I prefer the buffalo fried chicken. They are both very good. I like to order a pint of their homemade pickles. Sogood. Their sides are great as well, pasta salad for my partner, potato salad for me. The staff is very friendly. I go back veryoften. Read more

The burger is life changing! You could taste it from the smell before it ever hit your mouth. I think I moaned as I chewed! And... the chicken. Wow. Tender, crispy, juicy, flavorful! The whole package. We will return. Read more

I ordered the classic fried chicken sandwich with a side of buffalo sauce so I could try it with and without sauce. Excellent... both ways and the bun is quality. The buffalo sauce was awesome?I?m thinking they make it, but not sure. My side was tomatobasil salad which is fresh and you get sad eating the last tomato. Pickles are excellent. Slightly sweet , but not too much.Great balance of vinegar and salt. Ordered extra for my ride home. Will definitely go back when traveling through Asheville. What a great find. Read more

I went back. I had to try the fried chicken sandwich or I wouldn't in good conscious be able to vote in AVL today's best chicken... sandwich in Asheville bracket. Since I went wild with Rocky's I felt it was acceptable to go wild on this, so I got the buffalochicken sandwich with pickles. It is a VERY good sandwich. These guys really know how to season. Despite the crust being soakedin buffalo sauce it still retained a bit of crunch and wasn't wet, the sauce enhanced the sandwich rather than distracting. Thebun is excellent. The chicken had flavor all the way through. And you know their pickles are great. Voting is going to be sohard. ----- Did I order incorrectly? Yes. Did this in any way ruin my review? Not at all. These folks are known for theirfried chicken sandwiches. I don?t love a fried chicken sandwich, I?d rather just have the fried chicken. Knowing this, I got thekitchen sink salad with fried chicken. This isn?t virtue signaling, I ordered cake, too. For $10 the kitchen sink salad is asolid deal. Lots of fresh spring greens, and a truly bizarre mix of kitchen sink ingredients like sliced mushrooms, orangewedges, and cheddar cheese. It went great with the honey mustard dressing. Pretty sure the chicken was from the day before andnot freshly fried, but if that?s the case it?s an indicator how great their chicken would be fresh, because this was prettygreat cold. I also got the Boston cream poke cake. It tastes homemade, which to me is positive. The cake itself is a littleheavy, it?s a huge slice, and the chocolate frosting is slathered on thick. Would I come here just for the cake? No. Orderonline, pickup at via their pickup window on the side of the BP gas station store on the opposite end of the lot from the carwash. You CAN go inside and order in person but, don't. You don't need that extra step when it's so much easier to do it thisway. Side note: the other reviews are correct, their pickles are great. They?re super thin sliced cucumb Read more

My wife and I have been wanting to try this hidden gem for 3 or 4 years now and finally got the chance to try it. I got the... winner burger and my wife got the fried chicken sandwich. Hands down, one of my top 5 favorite burgers and the chicken sandwichhad to be in the top 3. This is a super unassuming spot but the food was ready on time and was absolutely amazing. Make sure toget extra pickles as they are addicting. We will definitely be going back when we're in Asheville again! Read more
