Local, local and AMAZING!! Driving across county to Michigan. Found this little gem of a restaurant right off the exit. My... husband had the Texan and loved it!. I had a Cobb salad. Great place just off Interstate 55 in Ashkum IL. Great beer selection and very decent food. Try the pasta Alfredo with chicken.... Open for breakfast and lunch most days and dinner Friday and Saturday. Read more

We visited around noon on Sunday and was given the choice of breakfast or lunch. We chose breakfast. We both had biscuits and... gravy with a side of eggs. And coffee. The food came quickly and was a nice size. The biscuits were homemade as was the gravy.We were slightly disappointed that there wasn't more sausage in the sausage gravy, but that's personal choice. The gravy, whilesilky smooth, didn't have much taste. I felt it was under seasoned and needed the addition of salt & lots of pepper. The coffeewas good, not great, and my last cup tasted old and slightly burnt. The restaurant is very clean and the tables are clearedimmediately after guest leave. The decor is pleasant, the atmosphere jovial and a little noisy, and the waitstaff attentive.There's a huge parking lot dining area, so finding a place to park, and sit, isn't a problem.
